(Here's a happy story amongst all the depressing shit)

A teenager collected hundreds of supermarket coupons to buy £600 (about $980.12 in U.S. Dollars) worth of shopping for 4p so he could give the food to families.

Jordon Cox, 16, scoured endless websites and magazines and gathered hundreds of coupons for dozens of products.

After spending hours each day searching the internet for coupons, he managed to collect 470, which he took to his local supermarket, and filled three trolleys with food and household items.

The bill came to £572.16, but once the coupons were factored in the bill was reduced to just 4p - a saving of 99.81 per cent.

The teenager, of Brentwood in Essex, donated all his food to the charity Doorstep which gives food to disadvantaged families.

Anonymously or not this was a nice thing for this guy to do, now if only we could catch somebody like Eminem,Tech n9ne, bill gates or anybody with access to the kinda cash they have and using it this way, but on a bigger scale.

Now this is the good stuff. He didn't do this anonymously, but based on the article, he really made an effort just to collect all those coupons. And I think that's enough to say that he's a good guy and a good model. Regardless of the picture that makes people think he's being a show-off.

Chreggome, people from all socioeconomic classes donate money and many of them seek no recognition for it, so it's not necessarily the case that giving money is a publicity stunt. As many of those people are not well-known, they don't have people following them and chronicling every move they make. The fact is that Bill Gates donates more of his income (around 50%) than anybody else in the United States and that includes everyone else in the highest income bracket. It's kind of ridiculous to assume that he just loves the publicity so much (when's the last time somebody saw Bill Gates in the news or in a tabloid magazine?) when there is at least a handful of other individuals in that bracket who make their lives known on a regular basis.

That's what we Dollars need to be. Everyday heroes.

If it was done anonymously then how would we even know that a normal guy like him did something huge such as this?
I'd like to think of it as an inspiration. Even though he may not be as rich as Bill Gates or as famous as some random celebrity, he showed us that even a normal person such as him could make a huge difference to other people's lives.
