source,
sourceIn a unanimous decision by the Australian High Court, the marriage equality laws recently passed by the Australian Capital Territory state government (The only marriage equality laws passed in the entire country thus far) have been revoked, and the same-sex marriages performed under the new law have been annulled and now hold no legal value.
As the laws are effective in only one of Australia's six states and two territories, they are inconsistent with the Federal Marriage Act and therefore unconstitutional.
Darn.
