Windows 8 Implementing tpm 2.0 in 2015, German Gov. consequently stopping use of Windows (30)

Well, first time posting in news board, but there was no board for this, so I decided to share it:

Microsoft currently has all hardware components which run it required to have a tpm(Trusted Protection Module) 1.2 module or higher. The tpm module is used for encryption purposes of your data. But now, with the release of the tpm 2.0 module, critics say it has gone to far. The tpm 2.0 module which all computers running windows 8 or higher WILL be required to have one has a new function. The 2.0 module has an encryption code made in it from creation, those with this code (possibilities include the manufacturers, which leads to gov. agencies like the NSA, and ironically, the Chinese and 3rd parties) can remotely access your device, deciding which programs you can/not run and granting access to all of your data. The user can't even detect that his device is being accessed. Critics say this will cross the line of privacy infringement.

This has led to the German Government to declare that its key entities will not use windows 8 while it has that chip in it.
Microsoft has given hardware manufactures enough time (until 1 Jan 2015) to include the 2.0 module in all of its products.

But we are the minority, and a really small one at that, the idiots out there that are being used just don't give a damn, they are like zombies to the gov's actions.

I've lost my trust in microsoft years ago. I either go for MAC or with Linux both run great for what I use them for.

Will this be built into all motherboards? If someone made a custom computer build, for instance, would every motherboard be made with this module before it is put into a computer?

>>10 Assuming Microsoft is an (intelligent) asshole, then it probably won't matter whether it's custom or not. The next update for Windows 8 after the time limit will most likely check to see if the module was installed and, if not, prompt you to install/refuse to start/etc.

I would assume its would only check people who either
A. have windows 8 installed
B. bought the computer from a store prior to this new hardware being added.

Shit. I can't stand Windows 8 and I wished I didn't have it, but this just annoys me more. You go German government, you go.

>>15 You're implying that Anonymous will soon be doing something about Microsoft and their system standards? You can already deactivate it, remove it from the system, buy a mac...
The hell do you think Anon's gonna do? All they've shown themselves to be handy at is redesigning weak-security websites in the middle east. Of course, if you really want to sit around and wait for some masked hacker to come knocking on your door to rework your system, by all means..

Bump for importance. That shit crosses the privacy line for sure. I can understand the argument that the internet i public space and they can monitor hat you do there but accessing your PERSONAL computer without your consent is the same as bugging your cell phone, or putting cameras in your home, or searching your home without a warrant. NOPE.

They're watching me I cant sleep if I do they'll get meee 0.0
So if the government will be able to use this chip yo check up on us we basicly have no freedom in using the computer. I cant go to my favorite sites if I know other people will know.

>>23 i cant tell if youre being serious or not in a single part of this post. The govt isnt forcing microsoft to put this hardware into their new computers, theyre choosing to do so.
