So yea, apparently, Sweden is facing a trash shortage Thanks to it's great recycling system, and trash-to-energy initiative, Sweden is facing a trash shortage. The kicker? Other European nations, overwhelmed by trash, are actually PAYING Sweden to take their trash. This is good for them, since they get paid, and get trash, which they can use to recycle and for energy (this also helps their shortage).


About 4% of Sweden's trash makes it to landfills annually, compared the the US, with over 50%

We still rely mostly on Coal and Gas...

we could learn some things from the Swedes. Well, then and the Japanese. I think they have good stuff like that was well.

The U.S. can learn some things from all the nations. Every nation is most likely better than the U.S.

On the other hand, everybody could take a page out of fucking New Zealand's book. They are literally the perfect first world country. Who had the first woman prime minister? New Zealand. Who championed the cause of gay rights in the pacific region? New Zealand. Who broke a treaty off with America simply to keep nuclear weapons out of their waters? New Zealand. We should all try and be them.
