I'm asexual (for now anyway, who fucking knows I'm still a teenager) and whenever I mention it I get a bunch of weird/confused looks.
But the thing is, most people will just tell you it's a phase and you HAVE to be attracted to other human beings (psh), so this is something that NEEDS to go public.
And when you say you're asexual, people instantly assume you can't find people attractive. That's not true. I find both men and women to be pretty, I just don't want to have sex with them.
I'm not disgusted by genitals, I just don't really want to be involved with them. They don't cause any reaction like they would with someone who isn't asexual.
Most of all, I still feel love. Not loving other people is called being aromantic, I believe - you aren't interested in a romantic relationship. I wouldn't mind being in a relationship with someone of any gender; I just don't want to rub sex organs with them.
Being asexual is like being a straight person with no attraction to their own sex. It doesn't turn them on, but they can still appreciate it.
