Okay, this is news, I am sure of it. I'm calling this thread what it's called since I have no idea what else to call it.
I casually go on Tumblr just to see my dashboard fill up with reblogs of political posts about this "Texas Filibuster" or "cheering on women's rights" or something like that. I'm not really interested in this kind of stuff, in fact, I rarely speak out but damn things are pretty intense.
Wendy Davis, you people who keep up with the news must know here, right? Well I've heard she's been standing for 13 hours straight with no food, water, or rest to fight against a bill to make sure that women keep their rights.
"It doesn’t matter if you agree with Wendy Davis or not, (although most of us do), what matters is that right now a bill was illegally passed despite a 13 hour filibuster and the thunderous opposition of the people.
How long will it be before we have no voice, choice, or vote for ourselves and our beliefs?
How long is it going to take for the rest of America to wake up and realize that their freedom can be, and has been, illegally voted away?"

prettybluescarfHere's some links for more information since I for one am still trying to learn more about this, since I don't want to stay ignorant of the world forever.
