Boy Drowned at My College (4)

My college campus in right by the Empire Lakes. I grew up in this town and know that lake well. Yesterday an 8year old boy drowned in that lake, some college friends of mine watched from their dorm balcony as the divers looked. The link to the story is missing a few facts in there that I heard from a friend. Her daughter went to school with that boy, and she knows people who were at the scene well. Kristian was playing on a buggy board with his brother and a friend. Someone on shore saw the boy fall of the board and when he didn't come up after a few seconds the person dove into the water to pull him back up. The strange thing is, he couldn't find Kristian. The police were called, and divers came to find the boy. It took them 45minutes to find him. That seams legit to someone new to the area. But I grew up in that lake. The water, although dirty, isn't that murky, the deepest part of the lake is only about 5'5 deep, and there are no currents in that lake strong enough to even sweep away a five year old, let alone an 8 year old. My question is, how the hell do you loose a boy in that lake when not even a minute has gone by after he fell into the water? I think something more is going on......

How odd... Are there any crocs or aligators around there? The kid could have been pulled by one and left after realizing it was a disgusting crap-in-the-pants humans. Idk

Underwater conditions can change very rapidly depending on the season and recent weather condition. Things could have changed. May be the lake just happened to be more murky on that day than it usually is, or may be there are hidden currents that you are not aware of.

If the kid was attacked by an animal, there would be tell tale marks on his body. My bet is on underwater currents.

>>3 Yeah I know it'd be unlikely, and that's why I stated it. :)
