Issak is a transgender boy from Pennsylvania. He was running for prom king. When he went to vote for himself he found his birth name was placed on the girls list. This occurred because the new principal didn't feel "comfortable" with him running as Prom King.

How about using a legitimate link, and not facebook, k?

3 Name: Anonymous : 2013-04-20 17:54 ID:nUnSxNXE [Del]

Schools should just stop discriminating, it seems like they get into trouble at every turn for something.

4 Name: TamaTamaChan : 2013-04-21 07:25 ID:j24zv5wT [Del]

That is so prejudice!! :( anyone and everyone should be able to run!

5 Name: Eros : 2013-04-22 08:58 ID:Gwmfj8nk [Del]

How is this wrong? He is technically not a guy anymore. It would be the same as letting another girl run for prom king.

>>5 In say "he", they mean that he is female to male trans. That means that he is a guy now and should be able to run for prom king because of that.

This is absolutely unexceptable. His name wasn't on the boys list because the principal wasn't 'comfortable' with it? Issak should not be penalized just because he is transgender, this is just outright wrong.

Assholes like that principle should be picking up someone's garbage . and truthfully these days i've seen principals that are academically dumber than the average student of their school .

Ok, it's stuff like this that gets on my fucking nerves... What is wrong with a transgender running for something he wants to do?! I mean, seriously! Who gives a damn if you're 'uncomfortable' with it? It's probably this kid's dream to be Prom King, and that principal just goes and smothers it. That is just fucked up, and i wish i could console that poor kid in any way for the principal's ignorance.

The thing is, the decision in its entirety should have been made by the ASB and not by the Administration. Regardless of the individual being trans, this principal is overextending her position and that's the real problem here.

omg&g i cant believe that! if he was a transgender it seems pretty clear he did not want to be seen as a female shame on that principal

ok, that is completely senseless SHE TURNED MALE FOR A REASON DIPSHIT

20 Name: NekoIzaya : 2013-04-30 16:48 ID:ZP+s87io [Del]

Can I please smack that principal across the face hard enough to knock him unconcious? Please?

I can kinda see the principal's side, but if he is living as a he, then he should be treated as a he. As long as he always acts as a he and doesn't try being female sometimes and male other times, then there shouldn't be anything wrong. Principal needs to get over it.

>>21 Well said my friend. Well said.

We all deserve the right to live as who we see ourselves.

>>24 Exactly. I love the picture, and I am trans myself. MTF. But I'm only 18, so money issues are the first problem I aim to solve. I never heard, but was the issue with this boys school ever resolved?

28 Name: Axel Faraday : 2013-05-06 13:11 ID:9dRiZr3W [Del]

I found it on Deviant art, (I'm supposed to give credit, I didn't do the pic)
It really did seem effective.

>>21 What is the principal's side? That he has a bug in his butt about this FtM kid being prom king? The other kids and the teachers accept him as a boy and want to allow him to be on the homecoming court, no less. In fact it seems that the only person that has a problem with it is the principal, himself.

How sad is that... Bigotry is so stupid! =(
