world war lll (109)

1 Name: AnonymousEntity : 2013-03-31 18:38 ID:e6Sx/XBQ [Del]

It's been a while since I visited this website.
On to the case, have you readed and/or heard on the news about the. Possiblities of a world war lll? Appereantly North America is still in war against North Korea, but there is threat of a WWlll(world war lll) possibly to come since some states/regions/country don't approve of the new pope and another reason unknown to me.
It's just a speculation but,if it were to happen what would you do?
Also, what do you think about these news?
For me it's stupid they would do such a thing as to go on war because they don't accept the new pope also it still isn't sure or clear as to WWlll to happen but it's still becoming a threat and is appearing on the news lately.

North Korea still being at war with America is actually old news. Did you even hear anything about it ending? No. Generally people would make a big deal out of it if a war was ending and you would have heard of it by now.

People don't except the new pope. Big fucking deal. Most of the countries hate America, and you don't see people making a big deal out of that and freaking out about WW3.

I can go on to what I think would start a WW3, but I won't. Ultimately, I reiterate what Hatash said >>6. I think this is some bullshitty opinion of a 9 year old.

The Korean War never ended it was just halted. It was only a ceasefire not an Armistice or Declaration Of Ends. We are technically at war with them for longer than any other war. The conflict goes on even without the fighting.

Also, I think WWIII is a possibility. Not very likely, but a possibility. I think we should just go ahead and wipe North Korea off the map if they even consider launching nuclear arms at us.

30 Name: Deka : 2013-04-05 17:28 ID:cnCdE9op [Del]

I don't believe that North Korea would attack. I am quite sure that North Korea wouldn't risk doing such a thing, since I believe it technically has no alliances with other countries. So they would pretty much be digging their own grave in my opinion.

The new pope wouldn't be related to any wars at all. The US is at war with NK, technically, but that's only because there was never a formal treaty. It was just a ceasefire. NK's new leader is young and seems a little, um, juvenile, so he might do something irrational. Who knows? If he does decide to start throwing nukes around, WWIII could be a result. WWIII could also be a result of poor economies around the world. Right now a war would actually stimulate economies. It's a good thing, if you look at it objectively

38 Name: Bookman !sdF/UdZzko : 2013-04-09 08:15 ID:VFv3lufH [Del]

>>37 True, it would stimulate economies but I doubt North Korea will launch nukes at the U.S. and the rest of the work for the fact that: A. Right now anti nuke ships stationed outside of Korea. and B. The UN is doing everything they can to North Korea to stop it from happening, not sure if this is true but heard they are putting a stop on certain materials North Korea can buy. If I'm wrong would someone please correct me on this?

39 Name: Anonymous : 2013-04-10 08:56 ID:yJNuMvPC [Del]

I think people misunderstand "World War".
A world war requires eaither a reasonably powerful country with heavy ambition or two major divided alliances. Everybody against North Korea is not a world war and a new pope is not enough cause to start one. If he was assassinated it might be a different story, just like if China sided with North Korea it would be a different story. This is getting blown out of proportion, the thing I'm most terrified about is North Korea launching its Ballistic missile at South Korea and begining another invasion.

Anonymous Post #39, no one ever implied that the world war would consist of attacking NK. My implications were that a war with NK could result in a World War; similarly, WWI. It all sparked from a single assassination. WWIII doesn't necessarily need to be North Korea vs the World. China is currently allied with NK, while the US is allied with SK. China, however, is getting fed up with NK and may dissolve certain relations. Canada and the UK are peace-making countries, so they're sure to be involved in a war. My point was, there are variables that are unknown to the public and it is too difficult to determine whether or not a war is going to happen. No one is misunderstanding what a world war is. You're right about the missiles being the biggest cause for concern, though. Missiles and invasions are likely going to be the start of a new war. It's certain that a war will start sometime in the next few years, too. The world is overpopulated and the economies are mostly struggling. North Korea will probably play a big role in the initiation.

>>41
1. I mentioned an assassination would change things
2. Currently, China is going for economic deomination and in that regard a nuclear war would be terrible for them
3. China is distancing itself from NK as much as possible
4. Large portions of Europe are not even fit to go to war
5. By the time the other 2 world wars were building the reasons for them were incredibly known to the public.
6. I'm fucking terrified because I live in Australia and Indonesia (Small country, lots of people) is directly above me (Large country, small military, few people)
7. War has changed, very few major powers are going to launch any direct conflicts due to the fact we now can all blow each other off the planet. If war truly does breakout as you suggest it will be more like the Cold War than any World War to date.

...Since when did NK say that they're going to nuclear strike us because they don't like the new Pope? Please tell me that's just an old and crazy rumor, cuz the Pope doesn't even live in America!!!

And rather saying "North America", just say "the United States", cuz our maple leaf brothers and sisters up North never get beef from anybody, and Mexico has too many internal problems to take on external ones.

I've heard that North Korean leaders have been hating on us since it's first leader and ever single leader since then has vowed to... Well... Do "something" to us. They're never really clear...

>>49 I certainly agree with you about his atrocious grammar however I believe in many ways America could be considered weak. In terms of its high obesity rate, low IQ average and decay of popular culture America in many ways has grown incredibly weak. Certainly it is still strong in its military sense but that is kind of a leave-behind of the industrial/mass producing era, where America fully flourished. Personaly I also believe Waco was an accident however that does not stop the assasination attempt and bombing happening within 2 days of each other. There are reasons why many historians have compared America exactly to the Roman Empire before its downfall, google it if you are misbelieving. In reality, people should really be heating up their tits to the extreme.

>>50 Every nation has it's weaknesses dude. Like I said, everything is chill. We maybe on a decline, but we're no where near bottom. And actually, our schools were severely lacking (in some states, still are), but now schools are giving out more tests, finals, and becoming way stricter in the past few years and getting more strict as we speak (I know cuz my friend who's a teacher keeps complaining about it). Also the SAT keeps rising the bar what seems like every two years or so. But our Universities are fucktastic, so what's the problem there?

Excessive fear, media hype, a willingness to trade some constitutional rights for security, and willingness to get involved everywhere, these are our biggest threats. These large issues are all in our minds. Also, Korea will probably either shut up after a while, or look like the Cuban missile crisis. Remember, they are just as afraid that we will nuke them as we are that they will nuke us. Their only courses of action at the moment are attack, negotiate, and threaten. They show no signs of negotiation yet, they lost China's (their main ally for years apparently) support, and their nuke(s) are not ICBS yet.

If there is WW3, I would not bet on it starting with the current Korean crisis, though if this crisis ends badly, it would still suck, but not global nuclear WW3 kind of bad.

I believe the new access to advanced technology is a large part in the educational boost. Also, America is hardly "Chill" at all. Have you not looked at the news in the past 2 days or heard of the Fiscal Cliff? Do things like Nicki Minaj (however you spell it) being so insanely popular not worry you? I admit it is not purely America, it is the rest of Western first world as we know it. Australia is being hit by it hard as well, obesity rates are through the roof (Higher by percentage than America) and the bogan population is steadily growing. To simply ignore the massive faults and view everything as all good is silly however, we must open up to how truly shitty easy access has made us. I am not one of those MURICA MURICA MURICA IS SHIT types of people, I am merely watching (and sadly in some parts partaking in) the widespread tooth-decay of the first world mouth.
p.s. Weird fucking analagy I know.

(Sorry I posted so many times. I need to post when I'm not tired.)

>>54 That's an excellent analogy.

But let me turn this back around full circle to what we were originally talking about. Our militia. It's CHILL. Then we suddenly get off track talking about American education and health.

And seriously? Nicki Minaj? Look, if haters gonna hate, then let em hate, but it's not like people listen to nicki minaj all day. There's a huge variety in music, so people need to stop posting shit about how our tastes have gone downj because of nicki and Justin Beiber. Don't you all realize that we can like a few songs from one artist... while liking other songs from other artists? Classical music, jazz, foreign music like J or K pop. I like a few songs from Nicki AND Justin, but I fucking love Swing music that they used in early 50s swing dancing and Smooth Jazz. So stop this shit, it's annoying.

Now when it comes down to health. People gonna eat what they wanna eat. But the world isn't run by the obese and lazy. People who will be obese and lazy don't typically get very far in life. I don't see obese people in ferraris or CEOs of companies. If they don't have the discipline needed to keep themselves in good health, they don't have the discipline needed to drive them hard and fast like you must do in school, college, and life in general.

What can be changed, are child protection laws. I met a 2 or 3 year old who was 90lbs. That's entrapping a child in a life-style that will lessen the chances of their success. And I think that can be a form of child abuse, or maybe even neglect (because they are still neglecting their responsibilities as parents to raise their children healthy and in a healthy enviornment).

Unfortunately... If you hadn't noticed. There are more pressing issues than obesity at the moment. So it will just have to wait. My best friend was obese, and when I left school no one was there to support her or stop the bullying. She died at 18, 5'6, over 500lbs. It is an issue, but... we just have (no pun intended) bigger issues.

59 Name: Blazblue98 : 2013-04-19 15:46 ID:xQV2Cb3C [Del]

I don't believe that World War 3 is happening any time soon, especially with North Korea. Who would ally themselves with them? Just about every country near North Korea is sick of the nuclear threat. If they attack anyone, pretty much every country will move to intercept them. But that's just my opinion.

>>58 (same anon) Ok, I am going to adress this paragraph by paragraph, I actually agree with you for the most part but feel a need to retort.

If you look back over what I wrote you will notice I said popular icons not music. There is amazing amounts of talented musicians out there in the world doing some awesome things, that is not the issue however. How often do you see a band doing something new work its way into the top lists? Right now, big companies are producing music for the lowest common demoninator because unfortunately they are the biggest, easiest money target. Amazingly bad tastes/low IQ unfortunately do not stop you from breeding, hell they often breed more. MTV's 16 and pregenant has lasted for years and years for a reason.
It is required people keep this shit up so it doesn't entirely crumble under the weight of sheer fucking terrible.

And when it domes to health, people eating what they wanna eat is the exact problem that we are dealing with. Humans in general are not far sighted creatures. If we were, global warming would not be an issue. The problem is, the smart motherfuckers that are producing the food make it cheap, tasty and fast but not healthy. There should be a burden on the producer to make something that won't kill the consumers off! We cant just say they can eat what they want because its their life. Humanity would be doomed if people didnt step up to herd the sheep in the right direction rather than letting them wander off their own seperate cage traps built by the evil shepperds.

Continuing my point from earlier, my uncle works in the hospital ED and he was telling me a story about an incredibly sick, incredibly fat toddler that was brought in by her parents. The mother said quote "She said she was feeling sick a couple of days ago so I gave her some Coke and Hungry Jacks, she kept throwing up though, I decided after a while to bring her in." These people should not be trusted with their diet choices!

sure their are bigger issues, there is also bigger issues than the Boston Marathon Bombings or tbe massacres in Syria, all issues need to be adressed however rather than just left to fester and rot. We have enough smart people do deal with every issue adressing the plannet currently, unfortunately we do not have enough good, motivated people for that task. All i'm saying is the rot of culture is not to be taken lightly and not to be forgotten. Honestly I cant remember my original angry point anymore.

64 Name: Magnolia : 2013-04-20 03:27 ID:ls11t/Os [Del]

>>63 Well? What do you plan on doing about it? Though I don't see how there are bigger issues than of the people who are dying right now, I'm going out on a limb and saying you're a good motivated person for the task who is physically in good health. There could be more talks and projects of good health in school just like there ought to be more talks and projects about what it means to rape and why it's bad.
Talks against cigarettes, talks about abstainance, safe sex, and what it means to be a parent. Talks and projects about the enviornmental and health dangers of pollution. Research on the dangers of hate and the hate crimes that are created. Talks on why each individual is a beautiful and lucky person no matter which situation you're stuck in, randomly pairing groups of two together so that there won't be cliques and everyone will know each other?

So... What are you going or already doing about it?

65 Name: Anonymous : 2013-04-20 07:15 ID:S/UHXBCM [Del]

>>64
The population problems and worlds future issues list a little higher I might say. Also god fucking no I'm not healthy, motivated or in good health. To quote Pressure from Hilltop hoods "I give good advice but never follow it, whats left for me? I'm a hypocrite, and if I wasn't i'd be a success story." I cant tell if you are being super sarcastic about more school talks (hope you are) because I find it hard to gauge over the internet. Also not sure what you guys get in America but we had like 1 talk on drugs that was about it, mostly they just fill us up with shitty educational budgets built on the budget of what I probably ate this morning.

BUT, I am burning less fuel by never going anywhere and instead playing video games all day, I improve hypothetically improve the education system by corecting the teachers in my mind whenever they say something wrong, I cause less inflation of the typical dollar by not getting a job, I promote obscure clothing manufactorers by pretty much wearing a dressing gown all day, I use less energy by sleeping till 1 in the afternoon when I can and I support internet freedoms by never paying for shit and instead downloading it.

>>65 Huh...

Well at least you're honest? ^_^'

But no, I wasn't being sarcastic. There are experienced adults that give unforgettable stories during these "school talks". And making them do research papers and projects force them to look for other victims' stories as well as commit to memory what they have found. I'm not being sarcastic at all. I and my fellow classmates will never forget that school field trip through the local county jail as a warning against drugs or the projects we had to do on child abuse (shivers). The pictures... Horrible.

And if you've got a better idea, then I'm all ears. Right now, most schools in my country (ESPECIALLY public schools) do NONE of this. Maybe that 30m talks on drugs like they gave you, but we gotta really COMMIT.
In some schools, rape and sex without condoms have been fucking encouraged.

>>67 Rape and unprotected sex ENCOURAGED? Wow, and I thought it was bad here in Kentucky. Honestly, I do think we'r eon the way to another World War, just not the way people think we are. I think its going to start when China finally has enough with America and demands the debt to be payed or war begins. We're already getting hit with bad new (look at what happened in Boston), and the debt makes it worse. I know NOTHING of economics, but I know that America's debt is going to build tension. Plus, bringing up the "MURICA IS AWSUM" thing...i'm honestly sick og America.

We prefer being fat over being healthy. We prefer pregnant teenagers over pregnant adults who have had time to let their bodies MATURE as the same with their mind. We prefer music of people who in my opinion have little to no talent and rely on preying on weak minds who needs someone to lead them. I prefer music of World War 1, post-WWI, and anything that's actual music. Country, rock, jazz, classical, all that is good. Pop, Rap(or 'Crap'), and Hip hop? Not me.

Obese Toddlers? Should be counted as neglect because people, namely parents, think this food is healthy, but they never thought about ow over time it causes negative affects. Obesity rates ARE rising, as is the level of stupidity. We make dumb people celebrities and then shun the smart people because they are "eggheads". What I think needs to be done is peoples' opinions being actually heard, not just those of the celebs and the government.

Also, on an irrelevant note, on Monday, don't get online. Anonymous is holding an internet BLACK OUT to stop CISPA.

>>69 I interpret your evidence as less of a sign of global armed conflict to come, and as more of a sign of a social and economic collapse to come. Perhaps Israel vs. Palestine, N Korea Vs. US, or something, but these potential conflicts have definite majorities and minorities right now. Most countries are on good terms with Israel and most are on bad ones with N Korea. War requires a large scale issue, relatively even alliances, and a spark. Currently, the world has issues in abundance, but most have clear majorities. Sparks are random, often involve specific politicians. If anyone wants to put out a good argument for the brink of war, put out an issue that people care about with two even-ish sides. I will say that small conflicts are likely, and that the US economy is going to wither and die though.

>>68 I know right, we should be placed in order of importance.

In the medium sized public school I go to we have I think 1 field trip that goes to a theme park like once a year I think. Maybe the year 11's go to sydney for a few days. Maybe I have experienced the wrong end of school talks and field trips, the ones I got have kind of been people that are good at their jobs but not quite good enough to be REALLY good and instead have to substitute for something lesser (Sort of like science are art teachers). It sounds like the type of talks that you guys get are a hell of a lot better than the ones we do so maybe if they improved rural education systems in America AND Australia we would be a lot more on the same page. These days however, I teach myself more than they teach me sadly.

I was reading the other day actually that Wikipedia is banned in Texas schools, instead they use a site called Conservapedia which gives bias views on evverrrythinnnggg so for start they could ditch that. Private schools could increase the number of scholarships able to be handed out and the government should increase educational incentives and competitions. As we are, kids are kind of locked into their economic status in terms of education and that has to be made more flexible if we want to progress.
I'm pretty tired right now so I probably wrote it pretty shitty like. Sorry if there is errors.

"These days however, I teach myself more than they teach me sadly."
Ain't that shit the truth?

Well, in my life I've gone to at least 8 or 9 schools. I just happened to collect the good school talks and projects from each one. Put all of those together and we've got a pretty good school system.
I'll look up the Conservapedia thing, cuz that just sounds like a load of bull.

"Private schools could increase the number of scholarships able to be handed out and the government should increase educational incentives and competitions. As we are, kids are kind of locked into their economic status in terms of education and that has to be made more flexible if we want to progress."
Damn right. But it's gonna be a 3-way battle between education, medicare, and military funding. And with our 8 trillion national debt, they're gonna be real cheap on education.

Just wondering, are those schools restricted to one particular area or were they spread across the country? I would be interested to know if the poor education system was restricted to states rather than the entire US. Oh, do look Conservapedia up, I found the article on the Democrats the most interesting.

Yeah, we had this poilicy that was instated by an older Prime Minister of ours that judged public school funding off how much sport equipment they had and how many hours of Australian history (the most boring shit you will ever learn) is taught per week. Hopefully, there is nothing like that in America.

>>74 Oh good point! They're mainly in Georgia and one in China. I've gone to public, private, charter, and independent schools though. I wouldn't be surprised if high and low school G.P.A.s across America could be based on the states where the schools are located. But even then, if we compared our average and higher school education systems on an international scale, we'd still be quite lacking.

What I've found is that private schools do give a higher quality of education for obviopus reasons, but when it comes to talks about protection, STDs, drugs, it's mostly public schools that got that covered (though they don't talk about more sensitive areas such as rape prevention and the negativities of discrimination). But compare that to the one school I attended in Chengdu, China, where the principal actually forbade any talks regarding safe sex. I have no idea why.
Private schools in Georgia give these talks too late in the students' lives, in my opinion. These talks need to begin at 5th grade - 8th grade. It would almost have a propaganda feel to it, or drilling moral ethics into children's heads, but I think in this case, there isn't a down side to such a method.

I gave a lil "look see" around conservapedia. I don't know if I can muster up enough sarcasm to show how horrible of an idea I truly think this is. Hopefully no one in the Texas school system is aspiring to become a non-biased journalist or scientist.

>>80 We started sex-ed in Virginia in 5th grade. The most horrifying part was in 8th grade when they had health in the cafeteria so you had nearly 100 kids watching powerpoints with explicit images of STDs. But we mostly gloss over the un-pleasantries because they make parents uncomfortable.

>>81 That's the thing. I think your school is doing it right by starting this process while they're young, but we cannot gloss over subjects just because they're uncomfortable to talk about. For my Health Class, because talking about sexuality wasn't allowed within the school, it was our homework to talk with OUR PARENTS about it. I think that's a good move. It's hella awkward, but if they don't like certain talks done in school, then make the talks homework.

Plus, it was fun as hell for me, because my mom felt more awkward about it than I did. She was begging me to just make something up that we talked about, but I forced her and I to have a "sit down". It was very enjoyable. :)

>>81 Yeah we also had Sex Ed in primary school, I think ours was in year 6 though.
>>82 It's not always good to teach it that young in public due to the social ramifications of the students that don't take it well. We had a rather innocent kid in our class than passed out and urinated during a video of child birth. Luckily, he was popular and our area has a severe lack of bullies so he did not suffer any shit but some people could have entire social lives ruined due to it. I have also never done the "talk" with any member of my family member, due to the sheer uncomfortable vibe that overcomes us every time a sex scene shows up in a movie, I can't help but be glad for that.

>>80 Yeah, I was just wondering because of the social stereotypes that change throughout America (Texan rednecks compared to New York culture freaks) and how that might actually affect the state average. Suprised to know that private schools were the best educators, always thought an international school would have a higher standerd for some reason (Maybe because my mind jumps to international as in achievement rather than multiple nationalities). I go to a public school so this is not being discriminative but from what I have seen they do attract the slummiest of people. Pretty obvious that is because it is free and such so I guess they would be rushing to get all the street education in there quickly, before the majority of students drop out and become tradies. Overall I would say the best age for sex ed would be year 8. You have just left year 7 and are eager to prove yourselves mature now PLUS your young enough to not have done much yet.

I believe that with the way the world is at the moment, a WWIII is actually a probable event. However, if the countries could simply focus on something other than rivalry, it could be easily avoided. In my Global History class, we often have little discussions on what's happening, so I'm always up-to-date on what's happening with our world.

The war is pretty senseless. I believe China sent out a statement saying that they won't stand idly by if North Korea gets attacked, but they also won't just stand there if North Korea declares war on the U.S. It looks to me China is pretty neutral, but won't just stand there and do nothing about it. Russia has also agreed with China. It might be possible that China and Russia will get dragged in.

If America and Korea will go to war, Korea is going to be the one to start it. With Obama as president raising taxes and gas prices America can't afford to go into another World War. And eventually all other countries are going to pick sides. Think back to history. All countries will side with Korea.

Not sure where you get your information sources...
Not only does China shun North Korea but the UN, rest of Asia and pretty much entire world is trying to tighten military sanctions around them. America has enough militray funding to do whatever the fuck it wants, local economic problems have nothing to do with them. Last of all, nobody is going to pick a side with North Korea, not only do they have no chance, they are incredibly poor and obviously are in the wrong. Check your facts again buddy.
