I was curious if you'd like to help me. You see today we had to write a paper about what was going on in the world...well, it turns out I don't know anything. I simply like to expand my horizons and I would be grateful if you helped me out. You don't have to tell me where you live, as I know that is very personal, just a country or if you wish a state or province will do. I thank you if you are in fact willing to help me.

Well I don't know. It's related to current events, but it is really fucking general of a prompt. Where are we even supposed to start answering this? The economic state of affairs in the US? Foreign policies? New technologies coming out? The direction of pop culture?

You can't just ask "what's going on in the world" like there's only one thing on anyone's mind at any given time. Go to some news sites, pick out a few big headlines. Start making it more of a habit of picking up on what people are flipping their shit over, maybe this is a sign you ought to start getting acquainted with things.

The news we post here are usually either the main headlines, for discussion purposes, or niche stories and smaller news highlights that individual members find here and there.

I would like to know what's going on in different countries! Even little stuff. Media over in America doesn't cover everything and I'm curious too!

Well a few days ago I had a conversation on an IRC a man in Bangladesh asking for the help of anonymous to help bring down a terrorist organization that is in charge there. I forget their name but they are pretty much like the Taliban. They even have a facebook page that they say is " religious" when really its a hate page. They have murdered women and children, and are very big into cyber crime. Maybe you could do a search on Bangladesh terrorist groups.
