I say we all nations should stop them before that do this because when the bomb hits my people will die and those who survive may end up getting cancer even years after the bomb hit. an example of these is japan. after my nation (America)when it two of Japan's cities we didn't know it's power. we know better now which is why we paid for repairs and medical bills. we still do. plus what do that have to gain by killing my people. we never tried to harm anyone but only those who have to harm us. we even ship are own people to help those who were being harm from there own people and died doing so. we (America) are the greatest, most respected, maybe the most feared. think about it we started as a 13 places on one to a nation of 50 states. we fight for all we have now. everything. we fight and we never lose. we been in wars with countries way better then North Korea. and they think they are going to take us. fighting us with a bomb that is being a scared of us. first of all the United Nations have ban the use of these bombs and fired all the bomb of the bomb centers in every country. that's more reason not to North Korea. we know better now and what happen back then doesn't matter now. people are trying to make a better days for the future and the people of people. don't be fools. listen to the people and history. don't please don't. if you do you wouldn't be starting a war with just (America) but all United Nations and you will never have a chance to win that war. we don't have to be friends just

I am sorry, but >>20. I don't think it is in place to say we are the "greatest" or "most respected". Our economy is in a rough spot and our government is a bit screwy (all governments are). No one nation or people is inherently greater than any other though. In terms of military power? Yeah we are great and all. Enough to wage war with most of the world (nuclear devices excluded, mutually assured destruction, etc.). Respected? Highly debatable.

Oh By the way @20
America isent in the middle east to help. if you actuarlly have a look they are there for oil, is it the soldiers fault for having to be over there? no its the government, the people in the middle east dont want America there, nor us Australians or the english, but all of our governments send our soldiers there, For oil. Also, "respected" isent the right word. many countries all over the world Hate America and would like to see it destroyed. I dont hate America or any country actuarlly but I do hate it when people say their country is the greatest or the most respected or ect simply because no country is great. I even hate it when people from my own country say it is the greatest, because in reality it isent. There are fuck heads, scum and pathetic pieces of shit in every country, every religon and every ethnicity. Its about time the dumpfuck population of every country to realise this.

While the North Koreans talk big game, their people are starving and their only supporter in the region or even in the world, China isn't backing them, even the Chinese public isn't supporting them.
here proof :http://www.voanews.com/content/chinese-netizens-react-north-korea-nuclear-test-weibo/1603971.html

Anyway I wonder what's how the people of South Korea are reacting to this "appearant" threat. If anything has changed in their daily lives or not at all.

But the "Best Korea" seems to me is all talk since one their propaganda videos took scenes from MW3 and the government took it down before Activision sued the crap out them...

I'm in the US and I want to flee sometimes, but I have someone I love and she doesn't want to leave yet, plus she doesn't exactly know how I feel yet.

If we go to war I'm leaving the US however. I'll offer to take whomever will come along but if we go to war with NK then it definitely means WWIII. NK is a nuclear power, and so is Iran. Iran will use NK's warring as a diversion to spread the US and Europe thin, so they can destroy Israel. But we aren't helping the situation at all. We should have never started the Cold War with the Soviet Union as their main takeovers were in dictatorships, not democracies. That doesn't hurt us at all, communism is marginally better than dictatorships but thats up for debate. Still, China is better off than when the KMT was in power, for example, or Russia when the tsar was in power.

I doubt it's actually going to happen, but there's always a chance it may. They make threats like this all the time. Thinking realistically, they're so low on resources that they can't really afford to attack the United States. (or another place, for that matter) Before they realize what's happened, they'll be under siege by other countries, and they'll have any of their limited resoures sliced.

My biggest fear is that, if this happens, other countries will launch nuclear bombs. I can't find the site I was on before, but many of you may be able to... It shows how quickly the planet could be destroyed by the dropping of only a few dropped at once. It's not so much the explosion that you need to worry about, but the fallout and the effect on the atmosphere.

Kill, kill, kill, kill... Greed, greed, greed... Humanity in a nutshel.

Even if NK was to try and attack us, we still have China as our ally (kind of). It's possible they'd be able to take down a missile from midair before it makes it to us.
Hopefully we'd be able to avoid major conflict if any world leader decides to have a dick measuring contest.

nuclear bombs when droped or fired only tend to detonated a maile above there intented target, so shooting one down "wouldnt/realy shouldent" set it off.

Let them shoot the missel and start a war we'll lose 3 to 1 on that fight and the north Kareans know this. Its governments like ours that cause this problem in the first place. If the people of this country were to step up and take over like we should of in the first place this could of been avoided.

You do know that North Korea has no real way of shooting the thing towards America, right? They are quite far behind in technology... They depend on other nations for support.

However, there is a risk that a suicide pact may be made by setting off the bomb on itself, killing most if not all people there, which includes thousands of American soildiers.

Hell, they may even try to nuke South Korea.

While I do believe in emergency preparedness, as well as being prepared for nuclear events I don't believe they are a real threat. The thing about nukes is that everyone has em. They nuke us, we nuke them or our allies nuke them, and no one wants to be nuked. Multiple times North Korea has threatened to invade us, or nuke us, and time and time again they have proven to be bluffing. North Korean specialists have confirmed that they have neither the power nor the resources to invade us let alone nuke us ( no airforce, no navy, most of the country doesn't even have electricity or proper nutrition thanks to the communist government )

Last time Korea tried to fire a missile at the US and other countries it blew up miserably on the launch pad, plus the missile head is to small for a war head.
North Korea knows how to make nukes but doesn't know how to weaponize them or really make a missile that works.

It wont be long before we invade them and try to free the people of their baby faced dictators brainwashing. South Korea already hates them and China is already sick of half the crap they pull. Plus if they to launch it and it hits we have the right to retaliate with our own nuke which could affect China and South Korea which they would obviously be nervous about. Or they could ultimately fail and be a danger to themselves and others. Either way we should swat this fly as soon as possible to avoid as much collateral damage and pain possible.

North Korea has shifted a missile with "considerable range" to its east coast, South Korea's foreign minister says.
Kim Kwan-jin played down concerns that the missile could target the US mainland, and said the North's intentions were not yet clear.
Pyongyang earlier renewed threats of a nuclear strike against the US, though its missiles are not believed to be capable of carrying nuclear warheads.
The US is responding to North Korea by moving missile defence shields to Guam.
Meanwhile, Russia said Pyongyang's attempts to "violate decisions of the UN Security Council are categorically unacceptable".
"This radically complicates, if it doesn't in practice shut off, the prospects for resuming six-party talks," foreign ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said in a statement on Thursday.
The talks involving North and South Korea, the US, Russia, China and Japan were last held in late 2008.
'Worst-case scenario'
Japan said it was co-operating closely with the US and South Korea to monitor the North's next move.
Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said that although the rhetoric was "increasingly provocative", Tokyo would "calmly" watch the situation.
Government spokesman Yoshihide Suga earlier told reporters that Japan was braced for a "worst-case scenario".
The Pentagon said the shield on its Pacific island territory would be ready within weeks, adding to warships already sent to the area.
The North has previously named Guam among a list of possible targets for attack that included Hawaii and the US mainland.
Japanese and South Korea reports had suggested the missile being moved by the North was a long-range one with a capability of hitting the US west coast.
However, experts believe the North's most powerful rocket, which it test-fired last December, has a range of 6,000km (3,700 miles) and can reach no further than Alaska.
Kim Kwan-jin told MPs in a parliamentary defence committee meeting that the missile had "considerable range".
"The missile does not seem to be aimed at the US mainland. It could be aimed at test firing or military drills," he said.
Analysts have interpreted Mr Kim's description as referring to the Musudan missile, estimated to have a range up to 4,000km. Guam would be within that range.
Declaration of war
The North is believed to have its main military research centres in the east.
It has test-fired missiles from there before, and its three nuclear weapons tests were carried out in the east.
Despite its belligerent rhetoric, North Korea has not taken direct military action since 2010, when it shelled a South Korean island and killed four people.
But in recent weeks it has threatened nuclear strikes and attacks on specific targets in the US and South Korea.
It has announced a formal declaration of war on the South, and pledged to reopen a mothballed nuclear reactor in defiance of UN Security Council resolutions.
In its latest statement, attributed to a military spokesman, the North appeared to refer to continuing military exercises between the US and South Korea in which the US has flown nuclear-capable bombers over the South.
The statement said the "ever-escalating US hostile policy towards the DPRK [North Korea] and its reckless nuclear threat will be smashed".
It promised to use "cutting-edge smaller, lighter and diversified nuclear strike means of the DPRK" and said the "merciless operation of its revolutionary armed forces in this regard has been finally examined and ratified".
The US Department of Defense said on Wednesday it would deploy the ballistic Terminal High Altitude Area Defense System (Thaad) to Guam in the coming weeks.
The Thaad system includes a truck-mounted launcher and interceptor missiles.
US officials recently also announced that the USS John McCain, a destroyer capable of intercepting missiles, had been positioned off the Korean peninsula.
Some analysts say Pyongyang's angry statements are of more concern than usual because it is unclear exactly what the North hopes to achieve.
As well as the angry statements, the North has also shut down an emergency telephone line between Seoul and Pyongyang and stopped South Koreans from working at a joint industrial complex in the North.
The Kaesong complex, one of the last remaining symbols of co-operation between the neighbours, is staffed mainly by North Koreans but funded and managed by South Korean firms.

Kim Jong-un acts like some angsty teenager, making big talk and trying to pick fights thinking that it will some how magically improve their situation. From what I understand the last two generations of North Korean rulers always talked big and made threats until other nations would send them food to get them to shut up which they needed since they don't know how to keep they're citizens fed without taking pity from others. I just hope that Jong-un stops acting totally juvenile and plays the same game his father and grandfather played to keep the poor North Korean people from dying rather than going off and starting some war with the South, or America, or Japan, or where ever. In all practicality, if they were to start a war, regardless of they're meager nuclear capability, they couldn't win. China wouldn't get involved because it would be idiotic to do so and then the North would be left all alone with no allies. On the other hand, pretty much all of their enemies are friendly with one another and many would even assist in a war against Pyongyang. Even if North Korea had the only functional nuclear weapons on the planet right now they'd still be too weak and unstable to survive.

China Disapproves.

Everyone was saying, "China's got there back."
I was saying, "China's not that stupid."
They were saying, "China's already agreed."

Fuck, China's not stupid. Only North Korea is that stupid.

On a more funny note. Anyone see that movie trailer that completely dissed North Korea? It said something like, "We have enough fire power to destroy each of you 14 times over. 15 for North Korea."

Post it here please? I think it's hilarious.

>>78 Because of ignorant assholes around the world trolling Kim...Just kidding, it just depends on the person. :/ Tis a sad day when one small country wants to kill everyone for no reason. At least try to make friends with one country North Korea, c'mon!

They did.
That country is called China.

And then China realized that being friends with psychotic people ruins your reputation as well so they bolted the fuck out of there.
