I can't remember where I read it, but I heard something similar on tumblr. And to that I say...

...What's the point? Why is this a big deal in terms of gender equality when bathrooms are separated by sex? It's not like she actually got a male to female operation, she still had a dick. If I remember correctly, the reasoning used by the school was that her penis made the other girls uncomfortable, and that's rather fair because bathrooms were kind of made with genitalia in mind.

It might be considered okay at older ages maybe, though there are still problems involved, but children don't even get sex education until, what, the 5th grade?

As it stands, you can get thrown out of an establishment for not using a designated restroom. It's a legal thing and has more to do with the privacy of the whole rather than any sort of segregation/inequality.

Even I have to deal with it, and I look like a woman in pretty much every way except for the parts people aren't supposed to see anyway. But until I get my ID changed, I have to put up with it. At least I have the sense to understand why it works that way.

Honestly, it'd be better if she was allowed to use the girl's bathroom. If she went and used the boys bathroom, it can lead to harassment, no matter what age she is. The female bathrooms give more privacy
