Webcam bugs. (7)

This is a rather humorous bit indeed. Essentially some people have gotten to plant computer viruses (NOT IPOD/SMART PHONES... Yet...) in E-cards. What it does is it makes it so the person that sent you the E-card can control your webcam and microphone and if done right, they can see what is even on your computer screen or what you type. What is worse, they can simply see when the family isn't home or anything so they can break in. But what compiles it all is people will actually click the E-card link. If you do not know who it is from, do not open it.

For all you know, the link that could have been posted, could have given you the virus. Look it up.

It pains me you wouldn't take your own initiative to search it on your own. But here you go.

The not opening things unless you know them applies to pretty much everything. I don't worry too much as a Mac user (I know they CAN get viruses) Mac programs can't do ANYTHING without your password, something quite annoying as a dev but...

From what I understand, there is a way around that but I am not too sure. Just something I found amusing.
