Caveman Offspring? (14)

1 Name: Bliedd : 2013-01-23 09:53 ID:QN6fiHeO [Del]

There is a scientist who is taking DNA from bones of a caveman they found. They say the caveman possibly lived around the ice age. There plan is to take the DNA and find a woman to volunteer to become a incubator and take the DNA and put it inside her to produce a caveman baby. They say they just want to do this to see how different human were back then verse what the human is now. I just heard this today in my civics class. Any thoughts or opinions?

Seems kinda... stupid. 'Sides, this is kinda immoral since you're going to make an non-normal-in-our-society-and-times child just to expirement on it without its consent.

That's be so sad if they try to fit the kid into society and he gets shunned as an outcast... Humans are assholes... -w-. Plus it's UK, where most males ARE pre-genetically exposed to being twats.

Is kind of fantastic to me, I can't imagine that. Well, I think they wont do it, first because its kind complicated to have a baby in that way, would be a lot more complicated to have a caverns one. The cromosoms must be the same, but the posibilities of a natural abortion or complications on the pregnancy would be really high, I mean, the woman would never be a good... I don't know how to explain it, in a natural way a good mother? There is a biological question here

>>1 Is there any website that contains this information? Preferably a reliable source?

>>5 I was going to ask the same thing.
That's the thing - in history, cross-breeding humans and apes has been attempted a few times. All of which failed. It just doesn't work like that, y'know?
But at the same time, these are cavemen, who have a closer relation to human beings right now, genetically anyway. In theory it should work.
But what are we going to do with the knowledge collected from this experiment?
If anything I stated above was incorrect, I apologize. This is coming from memory and might be somewhat inaccurate at parts.

I would like to know what happens next!

Do you think it might be kinda hard for the kid being different and all? Would he be subject to tests or just observation? Is it okay to do that?

This is old news, the caveman was thawed out decades ago and starred in films like "Rocky" "Rambo" and "Demolition Man"

I heard this information from my civics class and I believe my teacher received it from the news.
And I got more news, it turned out that the scientist says that he announced this wrong and the truth is that IF we ever wanted to proceed with this we would have to start at this very moment. Also, that its truly impossible at the moment to complete the project for we will need futuristic equipment to help research the data first. So, it was truly an idea, a thought, and if we wanted to really do this we would have to do it now and dedicate years of research on the project.
