That's the thing - in history, cross-breeding humans and apes has been attempted a few times. All of which failed. It just doesn't work like that, y'know?
But at the same time, these are cavemen, who have a closer relation to human beings right now, genetically anyway. In theory it should work.
But what are we going to do with the knowledge collected from this experiment?
