6-Year-Old HIV-Positive Boy Forced to Live Alone in Rural SouthWest, CHINA.

A six-year-old HIV-positive child named Ah-long has been collecting wood to support himself since both of his parents died from the deadly virus.

Both his parents died of AIDS and the poor child is too much on his own, doing his own washing, cooking and studying. His 84-year-old grandmother has planted vegetables for him and visits frequently. She cooks for him, but will not live with the child.

Everyone else in his world, including the nearby primary school has rejected him. His only friend and companion is a dog named Lao Hei.

THIS IS A BAD ASS KID! You know he will grow up to be strong, not like the bunch of soft-fucks in this world. I hope that they will cure HIV/AIDS soon to save this kid, because he has earned a special right to live in my book.

I feel sorry for this boy,... he's too young and has been given a hard task, and that is to live alone in solitude, not given a chance to feel happiness in interacting to others... but I believe that he will grow much stronger and will be successful one day...

I'm rooting for this kid. He's going to become CEO one day and own a huge ass company, just you faggots watch. Everyone that rejected him will wish they had a second chance! He'll probably be the one to cure AIDS or HIV.

I hate to be the bum here, but there's a very large chance he'll die before doing anything "remarkable" with his life such as "becoming a CEO one day and owning a huge ass company" or "finding a cure for AIDS and HIV."

Sure, he's living practically on his own as 6 year old, and that's quite a feat, but odds are he won't accomplish much other than day to day living. :P

This story made me really sad, and I wanted to see if there was an update at all. According to this article http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/cndy/2012-08/31/content_15722684.htm he's now attending a private elementary school, although it doesn't say much else about him. I'm hoping he's been adopted.

I feel sorry for this kid, everyone has rejected him because of the disease he doesn't deserve. I hope someone will help him, and cure his disease. I am too shock his too young to have a HIV

You don't need to always have sex to get an STD; you can get AIDs or HIV from blood transferring from the infected to the non-infected. (In fact, that's how AIDs got started in Africa. One man got it from eating a raw/not-cooked-all-the-way simian that had SIV (Simian Immunodeficiency Virus) and then he had a needle put into him (for some sort of vaccination) and others shared the needle after him, getting HIV as well.)

About 5 years ago, I think, I learned about a new drug that cured HIV halfway. I would think they might be quite close to having a complete cure by now. Also what I meant by halfway is the drug makes it so that the virus can't invade a white blood cell in one way, but there are two ways it can invade.
