PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. - Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a 42-year-old Dunedin teacher for allegedly possessing child pornography.

John Kaneski is facing 10 felony counts of possession sexual performance by a child.
"Kaneski is someone we would describe who was very hardcore into this," said Sheriff Bob Gualtieri. "He was using a file sharing service. This wasn't an accident. This was something that was intentional."

Kaneski is an English as a second language teacher at Cross Bayou Elementary in Pinellas Park.

Following a month and a half undercover Internet investigation, detectives with the Crimes Against Children Unit arrested Kaneski at his home on Edythe Drive Friday.

Detectives said the father of two downloaded multiple videos showing girls ages 8 to 12 engaged in sex acts with adult males.

Side note: I know this guy, too. He used to teach my cousin in ESOL. My brother and sister go to that school too. I'm rather shocked to find that he's been doing this, I mean, the guy was so fricking nice...

Wow. That's just...shocking and really sad. It's just...it's just...there's no words to describe this. It isn't right to be having, much less watching that. I'm going to pray for the teacher and his family.

I think they should put rapists and child porn collectors away for a lot longer. They only lock em up for what, five years? Does the court really think that they'll have shaped up by then? I say no. Twenty five years to life is more like it. They're sick in the head, after five years, they'll probably want to do it again even more. Recently, a rapist was released from jail in my city, and everybody is terrified of what he might do. So lock em up forever, I say. These people don't deserve to see the light of day. Ever.

1. No shit it's illegal. Hell, places that have the age of consent under 18 still consider nude pics of people at the age of consent child porn if they are not 18. Look at Puerto Rico.

2. I don't think it's all rape. I don't think it's all forced. I don't think it's all torture. CP is skewed to seem like this, when there is probably more consent going on the let on.

I will admit there are some children being forced to be sex slaves (look at Africa's black market for children slaves in general). But not all kids are being forced into the situation.

However, I will agree that I believe that most kids seem to be taken advantage of, but I have no proof to support my claim of them being taken advantage of since I don't have sex with kids or take naked pics of kids or know anyone that does have sex with kids or takes nude pics of kids.

Just because the person is a minor, doesn't mean it's forced. I live in Wisconsin (part of the only nine states that has the age of consent set at 18), and I know there are a buncha horny teens 16-17 tryin' to fuck, with 18-20 year olds (and probably older) tryin' to get in that action. What is so bad about a 17 year-old and a 19 year-old having sex? Nothing. The only thing wrong with it is that it is illegal, and nothing more. Hell, most people don't even find a 17 and 19 year-old having immoral (granted they are not being a slut and only having one partner).

Flame, most prisons don't really try to shape you up. They are a scare static to try to get you to stop doing what you did, much like when your parents would spank you. You're afraid of the punishment; they are (supposed to be) afraid of the punishment.
If you believe they are mentally sick, then they should be sent to a mental institution to learn to keep their urges under control.

Do you really think every single person in your town is terrified of one rapist? 2000 people+ against one person, and the 2000+ scarred of one person when the 2000+ have advantage of numbers.
What makes you in charge to say they should never see the light of day? We are not allowed to submit people under cruel and unusual punishments, and blocking the sunlight from one man's eyes is surely unusual, and seemingly cruel.

You never really know what someone is capable or sick enough to do . Even if someone does something this sick I don't believe they should be put away forever, though I do believe they deserved to be punished more than they do, it's a strange way of thinking..

I think the age of consent should be 10-13, 13 being what I prefer the most (due to kids pretty much already knowing what sex is by then). Though, I do think sex ed. (like STDs, protection, pregnacies, etc, not positions or how to get/have sex) should be taught at 10-11 year of age.

Given the fact the body starts really maturing around that age, it still shouldn't be that low for consent. If anything, 15 to 18, possibly. But that's still an iffy situation. I think if the person is at least 4 years older, it shouldn't as much of a problem.

But why? There should be some type of law regulating that type of shit anyway, if it ever were true.
