Suicide Nurse (24)

1 Name: Celty : 2012-12-10 13:07 ID:y2WbOly+ [Del]

As many people have probably heard about from the news but a nurse committed suicide after patching through a prank phone call to the hospital which was treating Kate (the Duchess of Canbridge) for moarning (Sorry if spelt wrong) sickness. I was wondering peoples opinions on what happened and if the nurse had health problems or was emotionally unstable and the risk of having revealed personal infomation that could lose her her job pushed her over the edge or if it was all of the media coverage that was shone on her due to the prank or something else entirely? No piss takes, no stupidity serious answers and opinions please :)

Doesn't matter. You should have thought about that sooner, rather than assume we all know, thus assume no one would give a flying fuck. Not our fault, it's yours only.

I can only wait to see what conspiracy theories will arise from this later on. Blame the Illuminati, it seems like it's always the Illuminati's fault (of course I don't believe that).

>>11 *facepalm* She made a mistake. It was pointed out. She corrected it. You're the only one at fault any more. Remember this little thing called READ THE ENTIRE THREAD BEFORE POSTING! If you had actually done that like your suppose to there wouldn't have been a problem. Stop pushing your faults onto other people.

Now as to the story. Really, I think the girl couldn't live with the shame and knew she'd be in legal trouble as well as never have a job again. I think suicide was a cowards move on her part. She didn't want to take responsibility for her actions so she killed herself before someone could make her. It's not like she made a stupid mistake that anyone could have made and the stupidity of people not being understanding and letting things go drove her into a depression. No. She knew what that call was, she patched it threw anyways.

She wasn't even the nurse that put out the information, she just transferred the call. Suicide is bit dramatic.

I'd say suicide is overkill (no pun intended) in this situation. And it appears that many of the people do not really know all the facts nor what they are talking about.

I say we should just close this thread on this simple note: We all make mistakes. To chastise one for such a simple one is wrong. To make one loose all hope is worse than disciplinary action; it is inhumane. Her death was unnecessary and should have been avoided.
She was in need of help. Humanity did not extend its hand to her; instead we shunned her and spat on her and beat her. Now her raped body is left for the flies, without us giving her the opportunity to smile once more.
Humanity is at fault for this. May we all pursue love and peace in the hopes of kindness and patience towards one another; and may we wish for a better place to live because of such.

I personally believe that the nurse that put the Radio station through was already going through some sort of mental health problems and that the prank call was just a trigger that pushed her too far.

Still, I have no idea why that Australian radio station wanted to prank call a hospital in the first place.

News is news. We shouldn't just close it because you deem it should be closed.

Hmmm, my friend and I was talking about this a couple of days ago. I think what the nurse did was wrong to give information just like that. It's obviously confidential, so why would she even give any information out to a person with no proof of ID? But according to my friend, she killed herself due to the fear of loosing her job, and getting in trouble, and being hated on by the people. I'm pretty sure the UK thinks low of us Australians now after this incident.. I feel sorry for the nurse.. I also think that the radio station that did the prank were too desperate to get higher ratings and laughs, by doing this prank. Shame.

I want to explain, but it's been three days so you probably know. They didn't actually expect to get in and because of that they apologised however the nurse killed herself out of shame of what she did. I am from the UK and we don't think low of anybody because we thought that it was amazing that you did get in.

I feel sorry that the nurse felt that she had to take her life, and I can understand, in a way, why she did so. The people who called the hospital to play a prank in the first place were stupif for doing something like that in the first place.

I'm not saying that the nurse should have killed herself, but I can kind of understand why she felt that she should. By leaking information to those radio hosts, it may have seemed like some sort of betrayal of the royal family, and therefore a betrayal of her country. The nurse probably felt that suicide was the only way to make amends.
