It's one of those weird systems that could actually seriously change the way elections are carried out in certain states, but we've all resigned to use it in a single agreed-upon manner for quite some time now.
Either way, when the popular vote and the electoral vote side differently, it causes the losing group to add the tagline "we actually won" to all their complaining, so I'm glad both fell on the same side.
Now all this leaves...
