So apparently a bunch of companies (Google, Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, etc.) are putting in efforts to make gaming experiences more realistic.
They want to upgrade the experience, suggesting that current game-play is limited to one flat screen usage.

Sony: Headset with multiple screens and a camera to calibrate the user's movements
Nintendo: WiiU as a handheld touchscreen to act as a double screen (where users can check their inventory, etc)
Microsoft: Projects surroundings into room for a 360degree effect.

I wonder how long it will be until one company reaches the point of virtual reality.
