Kuratas - Because We Knew Japan Would Do It. (182)

Kuratas; a human-controlled robot, standing at 13 feet tall, weighing over 4.5 tons (9,900 pounds). Options include a Gatling gun (controlled by a smile) that shoots BBs and a not terribly accurate water bottle launchers.

The Kuratas can be operated either by climbing into a cockpit or with an iPhone app, or slaved to a remote hand-held controller. And this is where you’ll want to be sitting down: you can customize and purchase your own Kuratas, for a mere $1.35 million.
----------

In short, japan has officially begun to manufacture personal mecha that can be operated by individuals. At 1.35-1.5 million dollars per mecha, that's a step price that most people won't be able to afford... but understand what this is - It's a step.

The first step.

The beginning.

Now that it's publically known as possible, this shit will get picked up, improved, expanded on, made more widespread. This is the prototype for motherfucking gundams.

They can be controlled by humans (facial recognition makes it so it will only fire when the target smiles. This is apparently to discourage use of personal fucking gundam during anger), or remotely by smart phones.

Isn't siri on a smart phone? Can we control a personal motherfucking gundam with an AI?

If the Amusement Park actually gets started and everyone involved gets good money, I plan to have those things added as a special "Security Measure" throughout the Park.

Imagine around certain areas, maybe a weird looking pole that has a key-card slot. Use it, keyboard comes out (yeah, James Bond-ish stuff) and you type your information, and the ground opens up and out lifts that.

We already have combat robots. Well they're really just self-controlled things that look like RC's with actual guns, but since they move by themselves, they can't be called RC's. Most of these are just prototypes however. Every once in a while I watch stuff on the military channel(s), that's how I know such.

Essentially, they can have a Military to defend themselves, but they cannot attack other countries, which is why they didn't send troops to support the United States in the middle east.

They call it a treaty, but I'm sure the US helped force their hand in that decision. It was a smart one too, since they are in no shape to start a war with anyone.

Debates can only be about what they know. Not what they don't. But what we do know is that our technological leap grows 30 to 50 so years each few years, and would allow the leap to grow even more as it progresses each year.

Now in today's society, it might be useless, but it's far from useless when Japan's leap keeps growing so quickly.

So? Anything in some sense can be used for war. Just because it's created doesn't mean their mindset just so happens to be dedicated to war, and it's a bit disrespectful to humanity that you rightly jump to that conclusion.

118 Name: Zero : 2012-08-27 16:28 ID:aXK1JYp5 [Del]

>>117 Well its unfortunate that I did jump to the conclusion of it being used as a war machine, that is just the way the alot of humans are. Humans use technology that should be used for peace and happiness for war. It almost seems like all humans know how do do is destroy. However I know not all of humanity is like that and that there are good people in the world. That still doesn't change the beliefs of those who currently hold power.

119 Name: Crisis !JjfHYEcdHQ : 2012-08-27 16:38 ID:KLDJts77 [Del]

>>118 Who says those who hold power don't want peace? The sad fact is that peace means having the bigger stick. War is inevitable, get used to it. But like I said, did you not read the thread? This shoots BB's and water bottle rockets. It's not built for war at all...

120 Name: Zero : 2012-08-27 16:53 ID:aXK1JYp5 [Del]

>>119 It doesn't have to be built for war to be used for war. Dynamite, planes, the internet and magnets (There is a magnetic acceleration cannon being developed right now. It fires a minivan sized projectile from space to cause massive destruction without nuclear fallout. Not even kidding.) weren't meant for war either but all of them ened up being used for war at one point or another and, with the exception of dynamite, are still used.

121 Name: Zero : 2012-08-27 16:57 ID:aXK1JYp5 [Del]

>>119 Besides. The fact that it was built with any guns on it at all makes it that much easier to alter into an instrument of destruction.

125 Name: Zero : 2012-08-27 19:02 ID:aXK1JYp5 [Del]

>>124 Just saying. If human life is worthless to you then you are in the wrong group. The Dollars goal is to make the world better and show people its not as bad as they think. People who don't value human life are the kinds of people we work against.

>>125 Just remember that most of the time making it better for someone also means making it worse for someone else. It's a game of weights and measurements. As one side gets higher the other side gets lower.

>>126 Thats why I help others at my own expense. Not doing anything is just as bad as trying to amke things worse. When you do nothing the scale only tips towards the wicked and misfortune. If you truly believe what you said you are in the the wrong group. Being part of the Dollars means helping people andshowing them that the world isn't as bad as they think it is. Don't try that argument on me.

No specific goals but with an unofficial moto like the world isn't as bad as you think. I would say we have also have an unofficial goal to make the world just a little bit better. I don't know thats just my opinion. But like I said we got way off topic. Back to the mecha. It needs eye water canons.

>>120 Because a BB gun is going to be a valuble war asset. Sticks and rocks were also used for war. If you want to get down to the nitty-gritty, then knives are also used for war, but they serve other functions as well. There are utility purposes for this kind of thing. Construction, rescue, logging, manufacturing, etc. If it exists, you can kill someone with it, but that shouldn't stop you from making it.

Also, you said Kind Dude would be in the "wrong group", but right and wrong are matters of perspective.

133 Name: Zero : 2012-08-29 01:54 ID:Ul2ekMXA [Del]

>>132
I never said we shouldn't make it. Nor did I say that any"thing" was bad. All i said was that I hope humanity can find another use for it than war. I was criticizing humanity not the machine. "Guns don't kill people, people kill people." Besides, it really doesn't take much tampering to rig the thing to use a different gun than a gattling BB shooter. If aying right and wrong are matters of perspective truly solves this argument take my example. Al-Qaeda though bombing the twin-towers and world trade center was right and they killed more than 3000 innocent people (blatant disrespect of human life). KILLING is NEVER right, it can only be justified, and this also applies to infringing on anyone elses' rights/happiness. ANYWAY, GETTING BACK ON TOPIC.

THE MECHA IS COOL. They might sage this thing if we can't get back onto the original topic.

This is a horrible idea. We must put a stop to it! You do not want a bunch of people owning stuff like this! It is just a matter of time before grotesque people start using it for terrorism and to hurt people! This is just the next step in a world being taken over by machines! Keep this stuff in the world of Anime. I watch Anime because their worlds are fantastic and this world is not. Bringing reality would closer to fantasy would be a horrible idea, because then I would have to hate fantasy just the same way that I hate reality. Then where would I go? My personal issue aside, these machines will only be used to hurt people . . . Mark my words, the next war will be one of machines . . .
