Disappointment for Daley in Diving Competition

When I read the start of this I was mildly disappointed (being British) until I read the next part of the article.

"After the final, Daley tweeted: "#gutted so sorry everyone but we tried our best and you can't afford to miss a dive at this standard...bring on individual!"

Daley, whose father died last year after a battle with cancer, also retweeted a tweet from @Rileyy_69 which said: "you let your dad down i hope you know that."

The tweet provoked a row on Twitter with some users calling for @Rileyy_69 to be banned and the issue even trended worldwide on the social networking website."

It does go on to say that he apologised for his actions, however he is still sending AND receiving hate mail from all over the U.K.

Anyone else heard about this?
