Since I'm interested in bizzare underwater news, I might as well share this with you guys. :)
A Cryptid is a creature or plant whose existence has been suggested but is unrecognized by scientific consensus and often regarded as highly unlikely. Famous examples include the Yeti in the Himalayas and the Loch Ness Monster in Scotland.
Meet the cryptid called ningen (human in Japanese). It’s allegedly a very large unknown animal sighted by Japanese fishers, which bares an uncanny resemblance to us. Not only a face, but other reports include even arms and hands. Its apperance varies because it was also "spotted" in Antarctica. It's huge, and it also resembles a mermaid in some descriptions.

Anyway...That sounds interesting...but has a 99% probability of being a fake. Fishermen are not exactly the best sources for truthful sightings. (No offense to those who are avid fishermen)

Very unlikely to exist, but interesting though. Probably was only a seal in Antarctica, and the fishermen who have seen it probably have only seen a whale-shark or just a whale. It would be awesome if something like this exists. It would be an interesting study in the findings of humans.
