Biggest Spy Scheme in HISTORY (27)

1 Name: M : 2012-03-20 08:56 ID:BmW0lP1S [Del]

Obama And ISP’s To Launch Largest Digital Spying Scheme In History (Must Read
If you download potentially copyrighted software, videos or music, your Internet service provider (ISP) has been watching, and they’re coming for you.

Specifically, they’re coming for you on July 1st.<

That’s the date when the nation’s largest ISPs will all voluntarily implement a new anti-piracy plan that will engage network operators in the largest digital spying scheme in history, and see some users’ bandwidth completely cut off until they sign an agreement saying they will not download copyrighted materials

Word of the start date has been largely kept secret since ISPs announced their plans last June. The deal was brokered by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), and coordinated by the Obama Administration. The same groups have weighed in heavily on controversial Internet policies http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2010/12/20/cablegate-mpaa-bsa-lobbied-frances-harsh-internet-law-very-important-key-copyright-fight/">around the world, with similar facilitation by the Obama’s Administration’s State Department.

The July 1st date was revealed by the RIAA’s CEO and top lobbyist, Cary Sherman, during a publishers’ conference on Wednesday in New York, "http://news.cnet.com/8301-31001_3-57397452-261/riaa-chief-isps-to-start-policing-copyright-by-july-12/?tag=mncol;topStories">according to technology publication CNet-Time Warner Cable
>-Cablevision
>-Comcast
>-Verizon
>-AT&T
and others spying on users’ Internet activities and watching for potential copyright infringement. Users who are “caught” infringing on a creator’s protected work can then be interrupted with a notice that piracy is forbidden by law and carries penalties of up to $150,000 per infringement, requiring the user to click through saying they understand the consequences before bandwidth is restored, and they could still be subject to copyright infringement lawsuits.

Response: This is much worse than SOPA/PIPA and ACTA. It doesn’t necessarily censor the internet but it spys on everything you do. Your ENTIRE web history will be watched and recorded and might even assist the government. This was coordinated by Obama and his administration with the help of the MPAA and RIAA.

What is so dangerous about this is that this is not a law it is a policy adopted by several companies. That means this will not be debated in Congress and you will agree to be spied on by signing a contract with the company.

Internet censorship is becoming a reality and now the corporate elite will legally be able to spy on you. If we spread this and cause an uproar like what we did with SOPA, maybe they will back down. Either way people NEED to know about this.

This thread is already here:

http://dollars-bbs.org/tech/res/1332251926.html

Still, this was posted 2 minutes earlier *facepalm*, but the other thread has more relevant posts. One of these has to die, we don't need 2 threads on 2 different boards talking about the same thing.

WHY IS THIS HERE? Kony is in this thread, it's really not hard to find. That, and the comment has nothing even relevant to this duplicate thread. Here's the Kony 2012 thread link:

Maybe they just thought this thread fit for both topics. How is this not news?

I fail to see what, in any way, this thread has to do with Kony. Again, the proper thread for Kony is here:

For absolutely no reason should any thread (copy pasted, mind you) be in 2 boards. Since this has more posts, the other should be permessaged and all future conversation about this topic moved here.

Well my fellow dollars I must say without a doubt. Including me, 95% of the internet is fucked.

This is the first I've heard of this.

Ha, looks like no more free music. Well will we all just have to jailbreak our iPods?

But on a serious note, I think I'm going to be more careful. As should all my fellow Dollars.

@miihta
It's world wide. It's conformed that a number of organizations have been planning this or months at least, in secret.

To anyone with downloaded content keep it in a seprate physical storage space like a thumb/ jump drive (any USB storage device)

DONT put in in a newer computer with internet acess built in.
ALSO I Recommend that the older the computer the better. On the news a report that a couple with a computer they got from a "rent-to-own" department Store was spying on them without them knowing from the webcam & net history. So anything without one would be good.

ALWAYS KNOW FROM THIS POINT ON THERE IS NO PRIVICY WITHOUT SOME OBE WATCHING YOUR EVERY MOVE FROM SOMEWHERE.
Be safe all those on the net, not only the dollars. I you have kids make a habit to make them more savy and alert. The trails of the next generation are determined by the actions of now. Our generation didn't have the problem before so be alert be safe and be in the know

The best weapon is knowloge so never cut the flow of info short.
This is the last day before it all goes down; be prepared

This will be my last visit to the dollars. I don't want anything bad happinging to this site.

Goodbye and stay safe.
Trust nothing in word, look at all that is before you, it's sources and judge by your own wits.
