Human fossils found in 1989 were brought back to the scientific community in 2008, and now after further study, scientists believe that a skull among the fossils is the skeleton key to unlock another door in human evolutionary history.

The skull boasts of traits not found in previously uncovered human remains and greatly differ from those found in modern humans. The brain cavity provides shape and space alluding to the possibly that these humans had distinctly developed personalities and advanced behavior for their time. The skulls shape in the cheek and jaw suggest that there were highly developed jaw muscles not seen in human fossils before. Per the location of the discovery at caves in China, the remains have been dubbed those of the "Red Deer Cave People".

Please refer to the article linked above for more details.

>>2 I want to strangle you, that comment was so blatantly stupid.

No fucking shit it's evolution, it's a god damned fossil! The whole point was that it was a potential link in the evolutionary chain, not "oh there might be a different kind of person walking around." Are you even trying to read??

God damnit, this is the first thing I read when I woke up today.

ACTUALLY they think this is a not necessarily a link but a separate strain. At some point/multiple points, groups humans wandered off and found new habitats and over time developed differently, beyond that of what today we call race. This is may be ANOTHER one of those strains that wandered off, as there are others already discovered not including the multiple strains of humans that ARE linked to the modern human.

Been reading about this shit all day and it is amazing!

Whether you believe it or not, doesn't make it not there. People can have doubts on how many gods we have, or if there is one only God, or even if there is a God at all.

But it's impossible to say you can't believe something right there in your face. Science is what's in your face. That is just a sad case of denial.

If this is from China then it is "Out of Africa," because several months ago I watched a video about a guy prove that everyone in China was descended from Ancient Africans through a genetic code. oh also here is the video link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kgq9dOaZ3xM&feature=related

>>15 the fact of the matter is that this is not the thread to debate creationism vs evolution. You want to talk about, go make one and have your little pow wow with the creationists, just dont drag this thread down with you.

The Skull does look abnormally clean in parts. For something meant to be really old, you figured the rest of it would look like the dirty/eroded parts of the skull as a whole.

19 Name: YouLeftMe : 2012-03-16 13:31 ID:T6ZDOGc4 [Del]

>>18 it's most likely due to not having the full skull so the replicated the other side, ect. Thus having cleaner parts because it's most like a mold. It's very rare to find a full skull much less a full figure.
