Blatantly a new viral campaign for something, most likely a new alien movie.
All of these posts and reports started coming in at around the same time, within a few days of each other. A lot of the reports are duplicates too, not to mention the videos are very formulaic, with no footage of the general public reacting to it if these noises ore "So loud". Then there's the posted forum and article responses. They're all calmly discussing things, and not one of them has started flaming anyone else or started talking about random crap. The whole thing reeks of a setup.
