Not surprising that they were able to pin this shit on megaupload giving Kim Dotcom's record. Still, that this shit was pulled right as the SOPA bill got shelved and PIPA is on it's way down the toilet...it's obviously an attack against us. A "Fuck you" saying they don't need the bill passed to fuck with our internet.

Damn it it happened to limewire in October. We have to strike back at the goverment, let them know that file sharing is the dawn of a new age. I mean who is gunna drive 1 hour to target for a album that has just been released on that day (for those of you that live in a rural area). I hate the goverment with a passion

18 Name: Misuto!M4ZBq07Cs. : 2012-01-20 20:06 ID:h8sRJs+X [Del]

To all that think this was random, know that they've been trying to sink Megaupload for two years now already. Whether or not the timing was intentional, this wasn't necessarily anything completely new.

>>18 I didnt even know it existed. next it will be bearshare. Those bastards, I dont care if my money comes from uncle sam, The goverment will sink by the Loyalists

Watch this video for updates! They've arrested some of Megaupload's employees!

and because Megaupload is down apparently they have all our files and info so anyone who has downloaded from Megaupload is screwed.

Anyone else up for a revolution?

22 Name: マシンガン !v0GixqO39k : 2012-01-21 01:30 ID:SLFSX+Bv [Del]

>>21 I highly doubt they have our information. Then again, I haven't downloaded anything from Megaupload recently so it doesn't bother me. I've only watched videos on Megavideo, and since it's just watching, you can't really track that.

Anonymous has been giving a lot of push back, but they have the means to. I'm just going to hope that Ron Paul wins for 2012 (probably won't happen) and he gets rid of the silly law, along with the NDAA.

There went 4 percent of total GLOBAL internet traffic. No joke.
Don't you have anything better to do, government? Like deal with the tax code that your treasury secretary couldn't even file properly? Or maybe fix the deficit that's now greater than our annual GDP? *rage*
Ah, hell, SOPAPIPA or no SOPAPIPA, it has begun full tilt.

...Now that I think of it, this almost seems like revenge for SOPAPIPA being defeated, given the timing. Misuto's probably right, I imagine Megaupload was a priority target after Napster and Limewire, but it just seems too perfect.

They've been after Megaupload for YEARS. They just recently found the founders and arrested them though.
