This extremly freaked me out when I heard this last night. Apparently some Iowa kkk droped their "lititure" in a naborhood in the northeast side of Cedar Rapids. It was supposed to be some kind of naborhood watch by the klan. The problum is that these guys are no different than any other gang out there. And the police can't act unless it was a direct hate message.

The KKK is down there with the WBC as just another dated, controversial, but ultimately within-the-law counter culture hate group. The people it consists of are those that are closed-minded enough to garner irrational hatred for other people anyway, whether or not they had a group to do it in. All they accomplish by spreading their word is inviting other ass-backwards racists to their ranks. I doubt they have ever "converted" someone of right mind with this sort of thing, so it's not really a concern in that respect.

While to some it may be alarming that they exist at all in their area, it really shouldn't be too surprising. We just tend to forget that idiots pervade our lives deeper than we imagined.

Anyway.
The KKK is less prominent than it used to be (at least, around here), but it is still around and is still strong enough to do damage. I think they'll always sort of "be there", as they have been for a while - people just don't notice them as much.

the kkk really is almost dead the only reason these guys are around is to get people to join so there cuase can stay alive so really even if they try something there gonna fail

I feel bad for the KKK. They actually have to do community service to get approval to do there activist activity, even though they constitutional have a right to a public assembly. I don't agree with what they do, but it's not really fair for city's to do that to them.

I remember seeing that, and thinking "Haha, it's like they're trying to get their asses kicked". Not only is the Klan widely dispised, but they are possibly being charged for littering on private properties. The idiots were throwing doggy bags with their posters into random peoples yards.
