I see Kaosu's point though, white knights
>>19 and
>>20 aside. I can't say I understand the viewpoint of someone who is truly depressed and suicidal, not completely at least. From my own viewpoint though, I never looked at suicide as a legitimate course of action for
anyone, except for in very specific situations. This is not one of them.
Suicide does more harm than it does good. In fact, it only does harm. There is no good to come from it. If one person is suffering from bullying, that is more due to one aspect of their life that they could cut out or seek to rectify or simply deal with. If they kill themselves over it, it gives the aggressors an amount of guilt to deal with (likely disproportionate) and gives friends and loved ones an amount of pity to deal with forever.
Some may take up the mantle of protecting those who are pushed to suicide, like
>>20 claims; but if it really took one of your friends committing suicide to do so, using the act as your personal legitimacy as a defender of fucking justice, then it's a bit
hypocritical.
I do feel bad that this person had to deal with such bullshit, don't get me wrong. It is total bullshit, unless I'm misinterpreting the context to be more candid than they made it sound. It's a shame he didn't bring it to light first, and chose to kill himself instead.
