United States - Bill S.987: Arbitration Fairness Act of 2011 (16)

1 Name: Masoni : 2011-12-19 18:34 ID:RTjHp5i6 [Del]

I don't know if anyone in the United States hear about this bill, but this bill is very dangerous to us in the USA.

A bill to amend title 9 of the United States Code with respect to arbitration.

So basically, what this bill is about you guys it's saying that anything that is uploaded or posted without the right's of arbitration, they can take it down and fine you.

Like YouTube for example. There are all kinds of music uploaded onto there. If this bill gets passed here in the USA, YouTube could either be shut down or limited to American music. So they'll be shutting down all other countries music.

This also affects anime too. There are certain websites that aren't official and stream them free with subs. Those websites would be shut down too due to this bill.

I'm not explaining this well am I ? . . .Hmm. . .A bill
to amend the criminal penalty provision for criminal infringement of a copyright, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled.

If you still cannot get it, here is this video to help you comprehend the bill.

If you can vote, or spread word to someone who can, tell them to vote no for this bill.

This is why I dislike the government. People (Americans now-a-days) need to be more worldly diverse. If you shut down YouTube, a LOT of people will be upset and basically something bad will happen. Don't sign that stupid bill!!

NOOO Watching youtube videos and anime are basically the method i use to relax and/or calm down when im angry or sad, and its become one of the few things that can actually do that, I dont want to resort to smoking and killing myself slowly! T_T
(I say the whole smoking thing because im in culinary school and a good majority of people in culinary smoke)

Correct me if I'm wrong but, this is SOPA(Stop Online Piracy Act) right? If not it seems almost exactly the same...Anyways this bill must not pass or we risk the internet being controlled by corporations and big business.

Yes, I believe this bill is also called SOPA.

So very bad! I wonder how we can try to get them to not pass that bill...Hmm. It'll also take down lots of manga sites as well as anything that isn't "american" such as foreign sites and/or unofficial fansites as well. Not good, not good. :(
