Typhoon Sendong made casualties in Iligan City results to 40 dead and 260 missing due to flashflood due to heavy rain. Iligan City Mayor Lawrence Cruz reported that the number of casualties still increases as more dead bodies are recovered.
The residents in the city are unaware of the flashflood. The incident happened during sleeping hours and the water came from the mountains results to flashflood. They consider the flashflood as one of the worst incident happened in the city.
The City government is seeking relief goods from the national government. As of this time the city got some support from Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG). Around 11 barangays are affected in the flood and two bridges connecting Iligan to other cities were swept away.

Latest news, it's already 500 people dead and approximately maybe thousand is still missing :((
