Perhaps now a more righteous leader will take his place; until then, farewell to a great man, even if he was great for the wrong reasons.

>>6 Well, if by righteous leader, you mean Kim Jong-un, then yes. Because Kim Jong-un took his place.

He was not a great man nor would ever be considered as one.

"He had given so much of his life to his country and people" is the official cause of death. Now his son will take his place, and he's been schooled over in Switzerland, so hopefully, the brainwashing melted away and common sense will reign. It would be nice to hear "There is no longer a North Korea or South Korea, it is just Korea."

Hm, so far no military movement has happened, I do believe. I was listening to the radio last night at around 12:00 A.M (The 18th) before I went to sleep, and I learnt of it then. I really hope that his son will choose better choices for the North Koreans; but I would guess he's grown up with his father's beliefs and already have his thoughts settled. But still, he was in Switzerland, I believe, so that may have helped...

His son has been educated around the Swedish but that does not mean he will choose either path. he may find the dividing line between the two countries and walk that path to reach peace.

I doubt that Korea would be made as one in the near future.

>>12 yeah, just the economic difference would be to much for South Korea to handle, think Germany getting united on steroids. Not to mention to huge social and cultural difference that now exists, best to keep them separate and try to prop it up, maybe if things work out alter, but who knows.

It's pretty much going to be the same north korea. Hs son's only 29, so young and I doubt he can control the other government officials.

>>26 There is also a chance it could change. But it would take a heck of a long time to change. It could be fifteen years before we started seeing real action in North Korea. My old band teacher told me that society changes very slowly. That's just what I think though. Meh.
