A new practice and use of image recognition technology is to track you and others as you observe advertisements. Sensors in digital displays in malls, airports, etc are tracking, documenting and keeping a record of your face, time, location, and other details without your consent or knowledge. Read the article linked above for more details and discuss.

Its creepy how when we get on the internet that someone/thing is keeping track of everything we do. I was a bit annoyed when I typed my actual name in google images and my picture was the first one to come up. Then to find a bunch of sites and profiles that were all mine too. -.-

Another reason I don't post my picture to the net.
When they start doing that to television, then we'll have a serious problem. Imagine the gov't knowing everytime you look at the TV.

Woah thats creepy! Oh I just thought of something its childish but someone should do it, next time you see an advertisment like that look at it and make a funny face or smile and wave into it or tell a funny joke. I think it would probably be kind of amusing to the person behind the screen.

Eh, I don't think it's really an invasion of privacy. They're just analyzing a person's general features, not even saving the face in the memory.

Oh, wait. I was wrong. The things sends the data to it's advertisers. Yeah, I don't like this very much.

LOL That's interesting but I kinda feel bad for people who might not really look their age or something, who would have to look at uninteresting ads. XD

>>13 Seconded. But you have to admit, the whole thing seems pretty frightening if ads know if they're being observed.

Oh fuck no. I'm wearing some creepy-ass kitsune mask in airports when this gets enforced :|
...oh. Oh, I like this idea. An excuse to wear costumes that make people, "WTF!?" in public places.
