18-Year-Old Commits Suicide (33)

1 Name: Kaito-Chan : 2011-12-01 13:00 ID:VvPNme4D [Del]

Im gonna just copy and paste what i read here ~! Its quite sad ! Dx !

" 18-year-old high school student, Ashley Billasano did not show up to Rosenberg’s BF Terry High School on Tuesday morning. She had taken her life the day before, after taking to her Twitter page to air out all of her personal demons. The young girl had allegedly been sexually abused by members of her family and received no justice for any of it. She posted 144 times over the course of 6 hours on her Twitter page, which has over 500 followers, explaining how she had been molested and forced into prostitution, before committing suicide. No one stopped her. Even after one of her final tweets stated, “I’d love to hear what you have to say but I wont be around.”

Chief Craig Brady with the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Department commented, “It’s obvious she needed somebody to talk to and that’s what I believe those tweets were. She was trying to communicate and trying to get people to talk to her”. Ashley was not short on friends though; her best friend was also named Ashley – Ashley Escamilla. The two became immediate friends when Billasano, or “Billy” as her friends referred to her, moved to Rosenberg to live with her mother because of the allegations against the other people in her family. The two Ashleys were as close as sisters and described themselves as being like, “peas and carrots”. Their activities included doing silly things like dressing up as Batman & Robin to go on late night taco runs. In fact, shortly before she died, Billasano gave the other Ashley two glow-in-the-dark stars to stick on her ceiling to always remind her of their friendship. Although there seemed to be plenty of happy times, Escamilla said she definitely saw how Ashley’s past tore her apart inside.

Obviously, Ashley wanted to get the justice she deserved. She went to authorities and school officials to report what had happened to her, yet, her complaints were met with little to no action. The detective apparently told Ashley that he had difficulty believing her. One of Billasano’s Twitter posts references the response she got after she filed her reports, “Weeks passed, then I got the call. They said sorry but there isn’t enough evidence and I hung up” and, “That’s when I changed. I didn’t care anymore and the people I was meeting gave me no reason to”. Being denied help when she most desperately needed it was too much for her to cope with. “To go on living when someone hurt her, and no one ever did anything about it – wouldn’t that drive you insane? To feel ignored by people who were supposed to help you. That was crazy,” said Escamilla.

Billasano tried to kill herself once previously when her case was denied. According to her twitter post she, “Went to the bathroom and locked the door, I took apart a razor I had just gotten from the store, I did what I had to do to forget.” After her failed suicide attempt, she went to live with Escamilla. Her friend said she definitely noticed mood swings and could tell that Ashley was breaking due to the demons she carried with her. Escamilla believes that her friend killed herself to make her message clear. She was not getting any justice for the horrible things that had befallen her, and she felt this was the only way to make her point. She also theorized that twitter was chosen because it would make a public statement and leave a clear record. The police have been very withholding about the exact details of Billasano’s death, for fear of people trying to copy her, but it believed that she died from suffocation. Her twitter posts have been removed as well, although it is unclear whose decision that was. "

peace is just an illusion that peace you so speak of will never be attain due to one simple fact no one heeds the warning "with great power comes great responsibility" corruption is the one cause and if you are religious you can also tie it to that but in the end its all a matter of opinion

>>10 "if you are religious you can also tie it to that but in the end its all a matter of opinion" Thats exactly what I've been trying to prove to everyone

Sadly, there are so many suicides nowadays that people are starting to ignore them. I had a friend whose dad did and she was left to nature, right after her mom just gave her up.

Okay, I don't get why the police did not try to help. I mean, I know it might be hard to believe, but come on, they should have taken this poor girl a bit more seriously. I think they really should feel guilty that they did not listen... The girl is dead now. And it's largely because those who she tried to turn to for help, did not help her. She didn't deserve to die, she didn't deserve to have lived such a horrible life. Nobody deserves that.

I can't begin to relate to her situation as a whole, but I do know that being ignored in a time when you need help really really hurts. And it is clear to me that she needed a lot of help, none of which she got from authorities. Her friend seems like an amazing person, but sometimes that just isn't enough when things are this bad. It's an unfortunate story, but hopefully, at least this will set an example for what could happen if similar cases are ignored. Rest in peace.

Maybe it was for the best. To be frank one cant heal from wounds that deep and with or without help she would've been haunted by two things:
1. The memories of what happened to her.
2. This simple word: Why?
I don't mean to sound heaterless or emotionless it's just how i see things, as how they really are in the world 99.9 percent horror or bad and 0.1 percent good.
Requiescat in pace bella ragazza.

Suicides happen alot. The way the world is now most people don't care beyond themselves. The complacency of "not being a bother and not being bothered" is an unspoken rule.

This is another thing I like about the Dollars. We actually listen to the cries of others, and then we help. Everyone keep that in mind now.

I saw a post from Setton a while ago saying how we should create some sort of movement or rally. This is a prime example of something that we as a group could help prevent!

This is sad. Someone finally asks for help, but then."Being denied help when she most desperately needed it was too much for her to cope with." They should of believed her more. She's 18, and legally an adult they should of done more. It's not like it's some kid saying a bunch of lies. At least she asked for help, most people just go on and kill themselves without doing anything to fix their life. She tried.
Rest in Peace

32 Name: girl who likes to sing : 2012-01-15 18:28 ID:tlQJBXW3 [Del]

it was a clear cry for help. she needed somebody to talk to. she had her friends, but i think she wanted somebody who could actually do something about it, like the police. why are people so damn caught up on twitter, and not the things said that actually matter!? it is our human instinct to help those who are hurt. we got it from wolfs and dogs, thousands of years ago. maybe even millions. don;t really know. when a dog is hurt, they whine. usually another dog will come and start licking the whining dog. its our obvious instinct. to think that somebody would just ignore this poor girl is absolutely sickening. she was just starting her life, too. 18 years old........she had so much time left. probably a lot of potential. god, its so sad. makes me wish that i could've done something.
