Authorities in Florida said they arrested a 21-year-old woman who allegedly attacked her sister during an argument about toast.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office said Maria Victoria Acevedo, 21, of Wesley Chapel, walked into the kitchen of her home around 1:40 p.m. Sunday and became enraged when she saw her 16-year-old sister using her bread to make toast, the St. Petersburg Times reported Thursday.

Investigators said the sister apologized, but Acevedo was not satisfied and she struck the younger girl twice in the head with a 6-inch metal cooking pot, pulled her hair and slammed her head into the ground.

The sister fled into her bedroom and sent a Facebook message to a cousin asking to call for help.

The incident was witnesses by the third sister, deputies said.

Acevedo was charged with domestic battery and released from the Land O'Lakes jail without bond.

News like this always seems like it's missing a crucial detail that may make the situation seem less stupid than it is, but I guess it all boils down to the fact that someone was beaten over toast anyway.

Maybe it was special imported bread that cost a few thousand dollars. And maybe, when toasted, it would give the consumer special powers under certain conditions.
And maybe, the sister found out about this and decided to steal the powers from her sister.
And maybe, the bread wasn't ready yet and the sister that bought the bread knew that if eaten before it was ready, the toast would have turned the consumer into a vicious monster. So she had to put her down. And the third sister misinterpreted the event and called the cops. Or maybe she knew what was happening, called the cops, and the cops misinterpreted the story.
