A Florida couple said they awarded $15,000 to a 19-year-old cerebral palsy sufferer who tracked down an iPhone thief because he "seemed to be a super kid."
The St. Cloud couple, who asked not to be named, said they read in the newspaper about how Aaron Wood used his iPhone's iCloud technology to track down the device on his iPad after it was lost during a church carnival and confront the person who had the phone, the Orlando Sentinel reported Tuesday.
The couple said they decided to do something to help Wood, who suffers from cerebral palsy.
"He seemed to be a super kid. He's a pretty sharp boy," the man said.
The man and his wife gave Wood two checks totaling $15,000.
"It isn't going to hurt us any," the man said. When we die, whatever little bit we have, somebody else is just going to throw it away, so why not use it now and help someone who needs it.
