Authorities have identified a 14-year-old boy shot and killed just after midnight Sunday in Perris.
William Long III was found lying in the street in the 1700 block of Glenview Drive with a gunshot wound, according to Riverside County sheriff's and coroner's officials.
Paramedics attempted CPR, but the boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
Riverside County sheriff's Central Homicide detectives are searching for the killer, but have made no arrests.
Authorities have not released the details surrounding the shooting.
