In Burbank, California a business man involved in months of legal wrangling for allegedly feeding pigeons near Bob Hope Airport has pleaded not guilty to nuisance charges involving air safety. Charles Douglas entered the pleas to misdemeanor charges of disobeying a court order and creating a public nuisance. He's accused of feeding pigeons at his Precise Roofing Co.

Just want to point out that this is a serious matter. Sac Intl. has a similar problem with birds on the runway. If the birds get caught in the turbines, not only are they killed instantly, but the aircraft can sustain damage. Therefore, it is imperative to keep fowl away from airports.

Arethorn, if I was wanting to complain I would have done better than that. MKOLLER, does have the right idea, the problem, are birds that is it and if you, Arethron have a problem with me posting such thing you can just buzz off because you annoy me.

Indeed it is a serious issue. Birds of all sizes have been responsible for air plane crashes. Look at US Airways Flight 1549 with Captain Sully. A flock of geese hit the engines, and cause them to make an emergency landing. Thankfully everyone survived thanks to Sully's skill in gliding.
