Four Dead Plus Suicide, and Seven Injured in the Carson City IHOP

While I knew this made national news, I was surprised to hear it made international news. Couple of days ago some psychotic walks into an IHOP with an AK and guns down a few national guard officers.

Why? Nobody has any goddamned idea. I was reading the Reno Gazette-Journal at breakfast and investigators have no clue. There clearly was no motive for this guy to do this. It's like the guy was playing homicide roulette with a loaded AK.

Another thing, is the morning it happened, the Jim McClain Morning Show did a live discussion on it and they were discussing how something like this could be prevented, and because of the enigmatic nature of the case, and what I'm wondering is why the National Guardsmen didn't have concealed weapons on them. This is NEVADA we're talking about. It's not that hard to get a permit and if you're in the guard odds are you're guaranteed.

It also makes you wonder how the killer got a hold of an AK in the first place. Anyway, discuss.

The world is losing its composure as we know it....
Idk..I think we need to figure out what is wrong with us...Like I cant even begin to describe my thoughts of confusion, as to just simply WHY someone does something like this. Can we, as humans, lose the very thing that makes us so? One must lose their humanity, to do something such as this, and then take their own life. Because he KNEW that if he lived, that guilt would eat out his empty shell of a vessel and that my friend, is a fate much worse than death itself.

If you want my opinion on it, if they find a schedule that puts him in the IHOP because of the guardsmen, then it can be labelled a terrorist attack. It makes sense, coming just days before Patriot Day.

Now, there is a possibility that it had nothing to do with the guardsmen. The IHOP in question is in a major shopping center. However, were that the case, the guy could have gone into literally every store in the center and killed dozens more. So it seems less likely.

Getting your hands on an AK is easy. The best route to do it is buy the different parts of the AK online or at a store and then assemble it together. Also the National Guard guys might have been out of state and came to Nevada on official business and just don't know the laws there very well so you can't blame them is that's the case.

The one motive I think anyone has in these situations are just to get everyone's attention. When I was in high school, these two guy started a big riot between each other, the teacher stopped them and sat them aside till lunch was over. When everyone left, the principle arrived and offered them to finish their fight that they were eager for, but they looked at each other and told the principle,"There is no one watching, so why would we fight?"

So many questions, so little answers. The world need as much help as it can help. Violence is escalating more and more, people are either oblivious or paranoid. It gets even worse when shooting incidents occur. I fear the tension that people feel nowadays is going to explode. It always starts with a small incident, then another one till it begins to affect everyone. We need to find what the core problem is..Is it misunderstanding? So many questions,so little answers.
