a deputy spotted a stolen car and somehow in the midst of that opened fire on a man. shooting twice in the chest, the man survived but in hospital with no life threatening injuries.
I smell an excessive force lawsuit. There is no reason for a deputy to shoot to kill unless absolutely necessary, and they go through marksman training to increase their accuracy in non-fatal areas of the body.

what you dont know, he had a gun as well and he also had friends who ran from the scene, they were pulling a string of robberies and one of them is in prison hospital
If the victim was unarmed then yes; the police will have the public chewing their ass off for the next couple weeks. Props to the victim though, shot twice and no life threatening condition; this guy is ether a beast or the police get issued some shit guns nowadays.
