Tyler Hadley, 17, was arrested for murdering his parents and then hiding their bodies in their bedroom while he threw a 60-person party.
The teenager is said to have killed his parents with a 22-inch hammer and then placed the bodies inside their bedroom, after which he “tried to conceal the bodies with household items.” He also seems to have locked the door to the bedroom. Didn't do much though.
As for a motive? he killed his parents with a hammer because they wouldn’t let him throw a party.

I'm sure you have your reasons for saying that, but still I see plenty of douchebag teenagers who do anything they can to spite and/or wrest control away from their parents. Usually they are egged on by their douchebag friends to go further. Most people would realize that a 60-person party in the average home wouldn't be practical and/or desirable. Most douchebags see this as the pinnacle of douchebaggery along with heavy underage drinking, drug use, destruction of private property, and ganging up and attempting to intimidate individuals that just happen to be walking in the general vicinity.
The parents actually had a spine here and tried to stop him from having the party. If they agreed to the party, straight up there I would have agreed with you, but they tried to curb his behavior and were killed for it. Hence, I blame the kid and his friends, not the parents.

I think the motive is a bit misconstrued here. I read a news article on this online (googled his name). The party seems to have been decided after the murder, or at least as a result, and he was well aware it would be the end of his life in one way or the other. He planned to commit suicide, but I guess he didn't go through with it when the police arrived.

He was supposed to be going through drug rehab and his parents were forcing him - but other than that he didn't have a clear motive as to why he would do such a thing.

I don't know, maybe he's just a dumbfuck.

A party going kid found the bodies. The kid told the party goers not to go in the parent's room but some did anyway (to make out or something) and found the bodies.

I do think that he had to have some sort of mental ailment to begin with logical people don't kill their parents because they weren't allowed to throw a party. Also a hammer? I'll say it again for those that didn't see my post earlier on, but I don't think that the reason he killed them was to throw the party. The party was planned for after he killed them, as a sort of final binge on his part. I'm not sure why he killed them - when I read the news article it was still recent - but he was already apparently certain about his destroyed future after he did so.

I'm sure whatever reason it was, it was still stupid, but not as fucktarded as "to throw a party." I had to read another news article just to make sure when I first heard this. Try googling it, see if anyone can find the actual cause?

You dont freakin' kill your parents, hide the corpses in a room, lock the door, throw a party and wait for it to go well. When you kill someone and want to get away with it you try to get rid of the bodies properly and not just leave them there to be found by random people..

I think he was just trying to get caught, be considered as the awesome 17 year old who killed his parents as if they meant nothing to him just to have a freakin' party. I remember something like this happen in my town years back. A kid killed his father and the fathers friend with a hunting gun because his father let his step mom spank him. The shocking part is.... hes 4 or 6 years old.
