Well, this one has been passed around the internet like a joint at a reggae concert, but frankly it’s hilarious and should be treated like the village bicycle anyway.

The video above is from Japan Probe, who are also fun… and probe-y, oddly enough. It also covers the Japanese vending machine that sells bananas… bananas are phallic too, but crabs meant a dirtier headline, so we’re stuck with crabs.
(Again, I’m sorry, but I am snickering at this).
The deal-ly: For between 1.50 and 7.50 US, you can buy a crab that’s been cooled down to the point of sedation from an ultra-cold vending machine and take it home to cook, use as a coaster, or complete your live-action Little Mermaid re-creation that takes up half of your living room.
Read that again: a live crab, from a machine, that’s been frozen into a state of hibernation. Thanks Nanking!

Who knows if this will make it to other parts of Japan (there’s a chance!) or to the US. I’m pretty sure that it’s a possibility, considering that the Best Buy machines at airports now allow you to buy things like cell phone crackers and whatnot when you should be getting tanked at the bar so you can deal with a 4 hour flight filled with SCREAMING. UGLY. BABIES.
I hate travelling these days. Even with the iPod.
