There is a non-profit that has developed a program called Folding@Home. This program loads biomedical research "Work Units" and uses the processing power of any processors you have in your computer (CPU/GPU/APU/Audio Card,etc.) to run protein folding simulations. The results are then sent back to the company to be distributed to the research lab that requested them.
You can specify specific diseases like Cancer, Alzheimer's or Parkinson's or leave it set to "any" which is currently prioritizing SARS-CoV-2 research.
