So, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but of all the sections this made the most sense. This Friday, April 20, there is a national school walkout taking place in the U.S. to protest gun violence, and to show support for common sense gun laws. This date was chosen because it will mark 19 years since the Columbine High School shooting.
The walkout begins at 10:00 a.m., your time, and lasts until the end of your school day.
Begin with a 1 minute and 13 second moment of silence. The 1 minute is for all lives that have been lost to gun violence, and the 13 seconds is for the 12 students and 1 teacher that lost their lives at Columbine High School 19 years ago.
It is suggested, but obviously not required, that you wear orange and/or an orange ribbon, as it is the color that represents the anti-gun violence movement, along with the color worn by hunters to prevent hunting accidents.
If you are unable to participate but still want to show your support, you can wear orange and/or print out your states price tag at " https://marchforourlives.com/price-tags/ " and show how much you states politicians think your life is worth. The amount of money on the price tag is the amount of money received by politicians from the NRA, divided by the number of students in your state.
