I have a favor to ask you.

I'm from Bulgaria and on 09.09.2017 three little lions were born in a zoo park here in Bulgaria. The said zoo park is located in Razgrad city in nortern Bulgaria.

What's so bad about three little lion cubs you ask? The lioness gave birth to the cubs in the external cage 3m away from the visitors. At that time there was a fair near the zoo park and there was a lot of noise and people celebrating. Most likely, because of the loud noises the lioness rejected the cubs and thus one of the cubs died and another one was repeatedly stepped on by the dad lion. The zoo staff didn't pay attention to the happening until the news about the cubs came out a few days later.

Volunteers of a local organization for animal's safety informed the national organization about the situation and the two alive cubs are now taken away from the place and being taken care of (one of them might not make it out alive :( ).
The zoo park is currently housing 5 lions- 3 male and 2 female. They used to be 6, but one of them died of pulmonary embolism last winter most likely, because of frostbite and inadequate medical care. The lions as well as the other animals in the zoo park live in cells which aren't wide enough for all of them, nor they are heated during the winter period. The zoo doesn't have a contract with a vet and even if there is any medical care it's done by incompetent people. The zoo had made couple of auctions for the lion cubs, which is illegal since the zoo doesn't even have a license. Also the zoo is located near a stadium and the animals get very stressed, because of all the yelling and fireworks.

Please help us out to close that hellhole, where animals are being tortured by making a complaint to Bulgaria's minister of environment and waters.

Уважаеми г-н Министър,
От електронните медии разбрах за поредните родени в зоокъта в Разград лъвчета от родители с близка родствена връзка, пред посетители и при ужасни условия (панаир и сергия до клетките). Стана ми известно също, че зоокъта няма валиден лиценз, че обитателите му живеят в неподходящи условия, при липса на медицински грижи и са в лошо здравословно състояние.
Считам, че е недопустимо в 21-ви век, в европейски град, животни да се държат в плен в такива ужасни условия, като се оставят да се разплождат неконтролируемо
Възмутен съм, че е възможно да съществува и да е отворено за посетители място, което няма валиден лиценз и не може да осигури изискваните законово условия за отглежданите там животни. Възмутен съм и от факта, че в близост до клетките на животните са разполагани сергии по време на панаир.
Моля зоокъта в Разград да бъде затворен, а обитателите му да бъдат преместени в лицензирани зоопаркове, където условията за отглеждането им са подходящи.

Dear Minister,

Recently I found out from e-medias that in the zoo in Razgrad were born lions cubs from lions with close kinship, in front of the visitors and in terrible conditions. I'm also informed that the zoo park doesn't have a valid license and its habitants are in a bad health and don't live in necessary conditions and with lack ofadequate medical care.

I think it's unacceptable in 21st century animals to be kept in captivity in such terrible conditions and to be left to breed uncontrollably.

I am outraged that there is a place open to visitors, which lacks a valid license and legally required conditions for the animals which live there.

I implore you the zoo in Razgrad to be closed down and its habitants to be moved to licensed zoos, where conditions are adequate for them.
