Overview of the Issue:
We stand in the position to assist those in danger from a disgusting creation. This creation to which I refer is none other than the Blue Whale Challenge/Game. (For those unaware, here is a thread from /news: [Link])

While I realize that we are not completely based on the Dollars of Durarara renown, I find that we are still founded with the same drive: To help one-another and make the world a better place. Thus, I petition you below:


The Mission:
Fellow Dollars: This is a call to action! I'd like to request that we take on the task of eradicating the Blue Whale. I call on all of my fellow members in web-development, computer science, and programming to respond en masse to this threat to the safety of vulnerable children online. To clarify: I am not suggesting an attack on their sites. Rather, I'm asking that we smoke them out.

• Compile a list of known challenges.


• Through legal channels, gather information on the hosts and sites.


• Listen around town for any mention of this monstrosity.

When our list has been successfully compiled, we will pass it on to the proper authorities.

from what I know, the challenges consist of anything that will harm a person:
starvation, removing self from family and friends, cutting, suicide.

The app will hack peoples phones, and refuse to let them delete the app. And if the person doesnt do what the creators want, the person will be blackmailed.

Isn't the game over?

I'm curious now. I'd love to see them attempt to blackmail me.

Well the administrators of the game seem to have been arrested, still the game could be active anyhow.
However, in my opinion it's a bit late for this mission.

Unfortunately there are other types of "games" such as the blue whale that are active at this very moment and probably have the same affects as the blue whale..

Really? This is so cruel! We should do something aganist it!

If you go sites like Instagram and just look up #cutting #selfharm etc you will find games like these. BUT I will say that example like IG they do try to help.

I have an idea to make a dummy account on bluestack or something like that. that way maybe we can gather more information about this game without make a significant harm. but well, this is just an idea, the other maybe have a better one.

I have heard of this cite before and I can't image what it would be like to be one of the friends or parents of one of the victims. The victims themselves probably feel all alone in this situation. I think if we find a stand point to create something that can support the victims and people who are close with victims, and find away for them to open up to the police or apple/Samsung we'll be gold. (Hopefully the police or Apple/Samsung know what to do.) (Still new to the cite so if I messed something up please just know I'm still new)
