"My name is Angie. I am 21 years old and have been confined to my bed with physical disabilities for 4 years. Consequent discrimination and poverty have caused me to be on the verge of homelessness for the past 19 months. After suffering through years of domestic violence as a teenager, I have been left with no family support and must rely on donations to fund disability services to provide stability and dignity in my life.
When I was 17 years old, I slipped down a staircase, which caused a serious injury that would rapidly become utterly debilitating. I rapidly lost all mobility and became unable to sit upright within one year. Because I was reliant on homelessness services as a teenager, becoming disabled led to being constantly subjected to severe and at times life threatening mistreatment, including being deliberately deprived of food and water because I could not walk."
Although she has moved to a permanent residence, she still needs help paying for furniture and appliance, as well for a caretaker to organize this. Please consider helping her, Dollars! Pitching in even 5$ or 2$ would help.

In Apr 2015, my tenancy was terminated due to discriminatory actions and I have been staying in temporary accommodations since. At the time this fundraising page was set up, I had no choice but to stay in a room that cost $1,600 AUD per week due to extremely limited accessible housing in my city. Now having settled in a permanent home, but need considerable assistance paying for furniture, appliances and carer support to organise these.

Also, while I should have the opportunity to sue for compensation for the disabling accident, recent financial problems could delay the case with the risk that I will forever lose the opportunity to seek remedy for the accident and would have to continue relying on donations for my disability care throughout the coming decades. Any funds raised now will also go towards my immediate legal fees to continue my legal case without delay.
Donations received through this fundraising page will be directed towards
1. Legal costs for my personal injury compensation case.
2. Ongoing disability support fees, including for home care and patient transport.
3. General living expenses.
