As most people know, suicidal rates have gone up these past few years. Most of it is due to stress, and some are due to the sense of not belonging. I know what it feels like to feel suicidal and hate oneself. I don't regret making the choice to stay alive, and I know that others will feel the same way if only they'd give up on suicide and self-harm. Suicide is a a permanent solution to what may be a temporary problem. It's a coward's way of escaping reality. For this mission, I want to be able to change a suicidal person's view. I want them to know that they'll face hardships every now and then, but hey! life's crappy and they should just try their best to overcome it.
To see the suicide rates go down a little bit would be great. The stress of the world around us is easily overwhelming. I will do my best to help where I can as someone else who has also been there.
As a person with a tendency to self-harm as a coping mechanism, I'd love to help as well. I don't want for others to have to resort to drastic measures for getting through life.
Just remember, the good people you come across get involved in serious situations. I just lost a very good human being this passed tuesday April 12, because of the people she got involved with. She was under the influence of hard drugs and couldn't help it because her brain is so addictive to things. Not to mention, the person who basically forced her into doing these things. I attended her funeral yesterday and he had the audacity to show his face. The person who killed her. He walked in with a hoodie and gym shorts on. Revealing all of his sores from HIS severe drug abuse. It only took four months for her to spiral down like this. She didn't even look like herself in her casket and I saw her only a couple weeks ago. Guys it isn't just bullying, its what your "friends" influence you to do to. Protect your closest friends from the bad people on this earth because someone can just take them away as fast as they came into your life. She wasn't suicidal until these drugs affected her big and beautiful brain. Don't let your friends get caught up in this and GET THEM HELP. Thank you.
I had my share of suicidal thoughts myself, but I really couldn't bring myself to do it...guess I'm just lazy. And my love was also having a tough time with his family and with me(although he shouldn't worry about me so much hahaha) But we kept holding on to each other, and really make it better for the both of us. Now he finally got a job, and he'll help me find one too. (I'm really scared!)
I personally have had suicidal thoughts too. However I believe that if I commit suicide the world has won a battle against me. So if any of you ever have a thought of suicide, think of two things: 1) Who would be devastated about your death, and 2) Life is just a battle between life and death so don't let death win.
wow this is turning into a suicide testimony thread, so unless people start suggesting ways to accomplish the mission it needs to relocate to the personal board...
suggest ways to accomplish the mission or repost this in personal please.
