Hello everyone. Deku here. I know we've had threads in the past devoted to suicide and depression, but there's something I'm personally invested in that I think could become a really good thing.
A little under a month ago my girlfriend, Lindsey, hung herself, following the death of her best friend. Today her mother made a Facebook page called Mothers Against Teen suicide. And while I haven't had the courage to ask her about it directly, it seems to be something she is really going to push for. There are just under 200 people in the group currently but I know that support from some of the Dollars would really be appreciated.
I feel this is a cause that no one here would object to getting behind. And with support from a great community like ours I know we could turn this little Facebook group into something bigger that will actually help people going through hard times.

I'm sorry for your loss Deku, she was so pretty too. Ihope you stay strong and let her passing fuel your passion to live and do as you are, working to prevent others from commiting suicide. Iknow the Dollars don't have rules and thats the whole point of it but this type of thing is my vision for the Dollars, a multitude of random people all working together to make the world a better place and encouraging each other to stand against bullying and suicides.
