Many city police departments have an online presence. I suggest we search for our local police department's website, create an account, and save their non-emergency phone number. From there we can easily report any suspicious activity happening around us.

I also recommend finding your local police department on social media to keep up on local activity.

There are also neighborhood watches people can join if they are of an appropriate age. Or if you want to be a really good upstanding neighbor sometimes there are meetings at city hall that problems can be addressed.

But yeah it is always good to have a local pd number on your phone.
