I've recently talked with my therapist about starting this DOLLARS group at my school. Which, honestly would start to make the school a little bit of a better place if it got on a roll. For example, the group could put up posters around the school to help out different students or start up some of the missions posted here. I'm not sure if it would be a good idea, and I don't have much of a plan, but wouldn't it be kinda cool if other schools had a small DOLLARS groups? I mean, it could expand the gang a little more if anything plus hopefully create a better environment within schools.

Sounds fun and innovative.

that sounds fun and innovative however i don't think this can work out.

For one, some schools don't even allow small clubs unless the students creates one anonymously but not necessarily officially recognized by schools.

Second, i think this will end up being a gang. People just join this to follow trends and stuff that their friends join and it would not longer be able to serve the purpose it originally has. It just becomes a gang that they can use to seclude other students

Other than those two problems, i would say this is a really good idea and i hope dollars can work hard together to find solutions for this problem >.<

>>3 I haven't myself talked with the school counslers about this idea, but I believe my parents and therapist have. Personally, at my school has clubs during lunch hour along with the before and after school hours. I've actually started another club or group last year, but didn't last long because of the lack of members.

I get where you're going for the gang part, here's the thing... since most if not all schools don't allow any symbolism of gangs, like scarves or bandanas, but the DOLLARS don't have any symbol of that, instead a name or a logo. If we can convince the people that the DOLLARS aren't your usual "gang" we might able to put the DOLLARS more out there.

I I love this idea I've been trying to start up somthing like this of my own at my school but it's so hard to get things going if you could manage to gather up a small group maybe just 5 or 10 people to do missions with I feel it would help a lot doing things in groups like that just gives more of a sense of togetherness and maybe draw in other members
>>3 I get where you are coming from with the idea that it would just turn into a gang or clic that would exclude others but I think as long as the "leader"/ former of the group encourages other to be excepting then people should never be excluded as is it is not the dollars way to exclude people

As much as I hate the idea of going public, seeing as how a paid professional says this would be good for your health I say go for it. But I'd advise for a name change seeing as how not all of us want to go public and by going public with sole choice it automatically dictates us to be public regardless or not. But the dollars have no rules, so all I can do is ask that you keep the members wanting for this to stay anonymous in mind. Thank you and best of luck.

>>7 My personal idea was to create anonymous nicknames for meetings. Probably I'd ask the members to not spread the site and password around, that is if I do give it out later on if it gets on a roll, and probably use this written down logo (not the site's) as a symbol that only DOLLAR members would know about.

The question really at the moment is if the principal will allow this... since if the site does end up getting used. Otherwise... probably just as a sub-group leader, I'd probably get the missions from the site and personally send them to the members instead of them going on the site.

I think it's great besides I do too want the dollars to be active outside in the real world so maybe we can do some good deeds or anything

I really would like to do the same but I'm homeschooled! Oh why me ...oh well! I'll try to make a group though, even if I don't do it at a school! :)
